Day 10 here. Food-wise I'm doing fine, though my lunch is lacking. I packed a few compliant snacks. My entire family is feeling like shit and cold medicine has some sort of cornstarch or sugar product in it. At least the ones in my house. Today is the day that that most people quit, apparently, and between my period and a cold, the universe is testing me. Thankfully, I'm still strong about it. DH who is doing it with me is being a food Nancy Negative today so I'll have to shut that shit down fast.
My favorite cold weather weather food is my Mom's spaghetti sauce. Luckily if I take out the 2 tsp of sugar, it's W30 complaint. I had some last night over zucchini noodles.

Day 3. Feeling pretty good. I was most dreading missing milk in my coffee. I LOVE frothy milk...BUT today I had an iced coffee today and didn't miss the milk much. I want to appreciate coffee without anything added so I am going to wait to experiment with coconut milk for awhile.
Tuesdays are big fitness day for me. I teach a spinning class in the evening and was able to get a quick mile in on the treadmill before going to barre. So I'm curious to see how my energy feels at the end of today.
B: Eggs + spinach mini frittatas, bowl of strawberries, blueberries and pineapple L: Mexican salad jar S: banana + walnuts D: roasted chicken, sweet potato, broccoli extra fruit and veggies as needed
I'm not doing so hot. I went out for drinks last night with a friend and ate part of an appetizer. I'm really trying to hold it together today and have zero cheats. I'm having a mental battle over it.

Did you go into it with a plan? Did you eat before?
Yesterday was day one. It was a big fat fail. I had Mac and cheese for dinner with a side of pecan pie. I'm going to have to wait to restart until we can find time to make it to the grocery store. Ugh

No. We went right after work so I had not eaten. I am not actually doing a whole 30 because I did not cut alcohol and some condiments. Normally i would fall off the wagon completely after a cheat but I am really trying to keep going with this.
Things are going well. I'm at least going to,60 days. I feel awesome. I don't fall asleep, any easier, butq I'm sleeping better while asleep. I can actually get out of bed in the morning.
My biggest struggle is eating enough. I don't do well with breakfast and it takes me forever to eat anything. I cannot eat within 1 hour of waking. I managed 1 egg and 100 cal of almonds and I was so nauseated that I couldnt eat lunch until 2. Generally, I sip a cup of coffee from wake up till 11 then have lunch. At 3 I have a snack, protein and a bit of veggies. Then at 7 I eat dinner with dh.
Any suggestions for my trip on Thursday? I was thinking I might be able to find a Chipotle and get the carnitas with guacamole, pack my own almond milk coffee.... and maybe find a salad on the way home for dinner? I don't know. I guess I could just pack a whole day's worth of food. It's so rare for me to get to pick up food without wrangling children or even just spend a day on my own and I'm realizing how much food is a part of that kind of experience for me. A road trip with no Starbucks? Whomp whomp.
I hear you on wanting to enjoy food without wrangling children. *sigh*
Would you settle for black iced coffee from Starbucks while on the road? Or an iced Americano? You could bring a little thing of your own coconut or almond milk for creamer. I love this hazelnut creamer too but I'll admit it's a pain to strain it through cheesecloth.
The Chipotle near me is arguing with farmers or some shit so no carnitas. Not sure if it's a nationwide tragedy or if it's just some franchises.
If you Google tips for people doing W30 on business trips you might find some other good tips. Good luck!
