March GTG! UPDATED with Date!

Alright ladies, as promised I volunteer to organize the March GTG.  I'm looking to do brunch or lunch on a weekend. 


UPDATE: Looks like Sunday 3/29 has the most votes so let's go with that day.  I'm proposing we try Tavern on the Square in Burlington, based on elfinia7's recommendation!

Sorry you'll be OOT that weekend drloretta, we'll miss you.

If you do a sunday I should be able to make it from the 15th forward. Don't plan around me though since I may have to work depending on all this snow.

Any ideas for locations?? Trying to think of a location with decent parking as well.

I will be out of town visiting my sister and her brand new baby the weekend of the 21/22 but I will be around the last weekend in March.

Tavern in the Square in Burlington does a pretty good Sunday brunch buffet and it comes with a parking lot. H and I have gone several times over the summer.

I can totally understand that.  But I swear we're just as friendly to newbies IRL as we are on the board.  At least I think we are--maybe donthasslethehoff can provide her perspective since she came to a huge GTG as her first (tea at the Four Seasons!).  Be honest, hoff, we can take it

And I should probably stop being the GTG cheerleader now since I'm more of a Boston Emeritus member these days, LOL.

It was fun and no pressure at all. I did feel slightly weird (but not in a bad way) that everyone seemed to 'know' each other, except for me. That's my own fault though for not going to more GTGs. Oddly enough, right after the GTG is when work blew up in my face, I switched positions, and now am like 47x more busy than I used to be, so I tend to participate in this board a lot less.

I also live kinda out in the 'burbs, and getting to Boston on a week night is more or less impossible. Weekends generally are insanely busy for me, getting to GTGs is tough. I wish i could go to more of them...

Oh good, so you haven't been quieter because you didn't like us all that much after meeting us IRL, LOL.  I'm glad that new job worked out for you; I think you were telling us about the possibility of it right around the time of that GTG.  It was really fun to meet you and I'm glad you made it happen before you got too busy to come out!

The key takeaway here is that you wish you could go to more GTGs

Not at all. I liked you guys! Summers are usually quieter around here, so hopefully I will be more active in a month or 2.....ahem, or we could plan a GTG around Natick/Framingham and it would be more in my neck of the woods

I didn't realize the tea was your first GTG as well donthasslethehoff. First one is the hardest, I almost turned around and didn't come. But this is a great group of girls that are welcoming. I've only made it to a couple GTG's and hosted one at my house as well. I wish I could make more of them but hopefully I can make more this year. tillie and zeewifeandmama definitely come out if the timing works.

I get the intimidating factor. I debated in the car for a good 10-15 mins on whether I was going to go in or not to my first GTG. But it was totally great and I'm so glad I did. I don't always make every GTG but the ones I do are always a blast.
