Vegas is about a 9 hour drive

DH has decided he doesn't want to waste time on Friday with driving. Our original plan was to leave the house at around 6 AM and get there around 3 PM.

DH told me last night that he wakes up around 2 or 3 AM most nights. So his new plan is to go to bed as soon as he gets home from work, wake up, wake me up, load me and the animals in the car, and drive.

He figures I can sleep (I'm sure I will) and then we'll get there around 11 AM.

We'll see how this one works out

Good luck! This was our plan when we drove out there last year (also about a 9 hour drive), but we were dumb and were up "practice drinking" until about midnight the night before we left...we didn't hit the road until 6.

And let me tell you...it sucks ass to be that hungover and stuck in the car for hours on end.

What time is your check-in at the hotel? H and I are going to Vegas in 2 weeks and we can't even check in until 4. Granted, all the hotels on the strip have free parking, so you can just lock your stuff in the car, but that means you can't take a quick nap or anything when you get there.

Knowing my luck and husband I'd end up doing the driving. Luckily I am powered by string cheese - not sleep.

We normally check our bags with the hotel when we get there and wander around the strip till our room is ready. And it's Vegas. You don't sleep in Vegas.
