It actually seems like it could be settling in but I don't think it's terribly popular.

I loved tonight's episode. So glad Jeff is gone, that Deacon saw Maddie again, and that Rayna smooshed stupid Jeff under her heel. I hope that he's gone for good soon.

I don't get the feeling the show is dying -- what makes you feel that way? I feel like it's definitely become an unabashed soap opera, but I don't mind that :-)

I'm interested in the Jeff and Layla relationship. I'm wondering if Rayna might sign Layla if Edgehill really is gone.

I'm ready for Deacon to just go ahead and tell Rayna about the cancer already so Rayna can take the test, discover she's a match, and give him half her liver :-)

I totally agree with this. I also think Maddie will be a potential match.

I watch and so do most of my Mom friends.
I really liked last night's episode.
I also think Rayna will be a match, it might be Maddy but I think it's going to be Rayna because that way it can focus on their relationship.
If it's Maddy then it's about deciding whether to let their minor daughter donate and all that entails.
I think they'll go with the easier but soapier Rayna is a match storyline and she'll decide that she loves and forgives him and donating is their new beginning or something like that.

I balk that it was that easy to get Maddie out of the contract.

I also thinks its BS Deacon hasn't told Maddie or Rayna he is sick. I think your loved ones have a right to know this information

Eh, it's TV
though really if the Chairman wants the contract to disappear it just needs to be shredded on both sides and since Rayna and Teddy both wanted it gone and the Chairman was on board with it just going away (hence his as far as I'm concerned there is no contract comment) it could be done by simply destroying the contract. Essentially both parties decided to void the contract which is easy enough to do.
A contract is only as good as the paper it's written on, no paper=no contract. 
It came down to the bad publicity if Jeff's stuff is aired in a legal dispute not being worth keeping Maddy under contract. 

As for not telling Rayna and/or Maddy yet, I agree but that's why I think one or the other will end up being a match. 
Something dramatic will happen and they will find out and get tested and one will be a match and just in the knick of time he'll get his transplant.

I'm still loving this show. I too think Rayna or Maddie will end up being a match for Deacon, though I wouldn't be surprised if its Maddie and then there are all sorts of issues with Teddy and Rayna approving it.

I was losing interest but I've been enjoying it lately. I think I really like the Avery/Juliette storyline and I'm happy with how the Jeff storyline turned out. I'm kind of over Maddie, but i don't really have patience to deal with the teenage angst.

Oh and I'll also add, that I'm 90% sure that Maddie will be the match for Deacon.

When the hell is Deacon going to tell Rayna?! I get that he's trying to be strong, but if he really loves her (and believes she really loves him) how can he keep her out of the loop on something this important? Ugh.

I'm betting it comes out next episode when they get back together/closer again. 
If not then the following episode she's going to put the pieces together and realize something's wrong and confront him and it'll come out.

I liked how Rayna found out about Deacon's cancer, it felt real and worked.
HATE that we have a break, I want to see where things go from there.

I'm really enjoying this season, but it feels like they're moving towards a lot of end game couples. Avery and Juliet are married, and I see Rayna/Deacon and Scarlett/Gunnar getting back together soon. I'm glad Rayna finally knows about Deacon's cancer.

I am so ready for Will to come out too. That storyline has been dragged out too long.

I think this is going to be the next triangle, Scarlett is definitely interested in the Doc so I think we have a fair bit of who is she going to choose coming. 

I agree it's time for Will to come out, I think they're setting that up though, he's signed to a label where he doesn't feel comfortable coming out, is working with a Gay song writer so may get a bit more perspective about it, Rayna is still interested in signing him and he's been told she wouldn't care. I think it's going to come together probably something dramatic at the end of the season and the fall out will be his story for next season.

I like Layla and Jeff too, but I hope they don't change Jeff too much.  I love to hate him, but I also like the glimpses of him being a human lol

Just caught the concert show (I DVRd it) yesterday. What's the deal w/ the Reba McIntyre appearance? Has she been on the show? Was that a song from the show? I usually like her, but it was weird seeing her sing one song with what amounts to the supporting cast of this show. I'm not buying the "Hey, we were singing Christmas songs" story from CE--that's not enough of a reason to have her on a cast concert show.

Why do CB and HP not do this show? I know that HP just had a baby, but isn't it just one night? Would have liked to see some of their songs with other members of the cast (like CE).

It's so weird to hear Clare and Sam speak in their normal accents.

HP I think the timing of it puts the filming right after she had her baby. Would you have wanted to do that at 4 ish weeks PP? I sure as heck wouldn't have. I imagine they gave her the option of doing it or opting out and she was all 'I'm gonna enjoy my mat leave thanks'
