Has anybody ever had a dentist say they wouldn't do a cleaning because you "might" be pregnant. They ask if there was any chance I might be pregnant and I said yes we were trying but I was almost positive I wasn't. The dentist didn't want to clean my teeth because of the small chance I might be.
I had to reschedule one time because I said I might be pregnant but wasn't positive, that we were trying. I just rescheduled once I got my period. They don't want to clean your teeth because of the amount of bacteria that might go into your system.
My dentist just wouldn't do xrays. The hygienist recommended a second cleaning during my pregnancy if my gums started to bother me. I had my teeth cleaned at two months and the day before I went into labor.

My dentist has a box to check on the form when you check-in. I never check it though because he is a family friend and I think it's weird that he would know that. I think they would just avoid x-rays though not cleaning.
I just had a root canal and crown on what ended up being CD1. We scheduled it when I was in my 2ww. He didn't say anything but that was probably because he understands the struggles of ttc since it took them 7 years to conceive their dd.

My dentist is the same. My hygienist said it's extra important to come in for cleanings while pregnant because all the hormones etc can cause issues with your teeth/gums.
In the UK your doctor gives you a special card that gets you free dental treatment while pregnant. I wouldn't go in first tri, but only for fear of puking all over the hygienist.
The last time I was at the dentist was right around when we started TTC. I asked if, in the next 6 months, I got pregnant should I still come in for my next scheduled appointment? They looked at me like I had three heads and just said if I'm pg they wouldn't do x-rays. Ok then.
