?
I got some of those velvet hangers the other day (who recommended them? Hi?). They had packs of 25, so I bought a pack to see how they worked. I figured it would cover about half of my clothes, MAYBE I would need a second.
Yeaaaaaaaah. I need three more packs. All I have hanging are shirts, sweaters, cardigans, and dresses. No pants. I'm not counting jackets.
Some of you clotheswhores come in and make me feel better about myself.

I'm pretty sure I have over 100 things hanging in my closet, and this does not include tshirts, jeans, work pants, sweatshirts, or sweaters. I have a real problem getting rid of clothes I don't wear. I keep telling myself I'll wear them someday...
I would say at least 150 things just on my side, and I do not hang any casual things just work and going out attire. I have a whole dresser full of the other stuff.
it's an absolutely ridiculous number. i have a giant closet all to myself (it's under the eaves, so my husband is too tall for it and it's supposed to be the seasonal storage closet. it's got two 15' bars.). so i hang way more than needs to be hung. "nice" t-shirts, casual dresses, etc.
i have those hangers. they are the BEST. at least fifteen thousand packs.

Nicole, that's pretty much what mine looks like. I am attempting to figure out how to organize it into sleeve length/cardis/jackets/etc. I have delusions of then doing it by color also.
I like your closet, 8AR. I like the organization and the drawers and the suitcases lining the top.
I SIT AND ADMIRE IT SOMETIMES.
As do I, I love the cubby holes. I need a jewelry solution though, I've been wanting to go corkboard for a long time. Right now most of my necklaces are hanging on a drawer handle in a tangled mess.

okay, here's how i do it.
on the left side: camisoles, then slips, then sleeveless casual, then sleeveless work, short sleeve casual, short sleeve work, long sleeve casual, long sleeve work, cardigans, skirts (casual then work), jeans.
on the right side: belts, work dresses (sleeveless, short sleeved, long sleeved), casual dresses (sleeveless, short sleeved, long sleeved), pants.
within each category, i have the light colors before the dark colors and the summerweight fabrics before the winterweight fabrics.
I don't want to know. I bought three boxes of 35 yesterday. I have a feeling it will cover only part of the stuff in the TV room closet (my sweaters, pants, blouses, skirts.) Forget the master bedroom closet with all the double-hanging. I'm going to need another twelve to fifteen boxes at least. (And I think I have less than some of you guys. Holy hell, I thought I was a shopaholic.)

I have clothes in every closet of my house. I have a shopping addiction. I also hang everything including jeans. The only thing that doesn't go in a closet would be pajamas or work out clothes.
I love those things! When I was still living at home my mother brought some home and I fell in love - I could finally hang up like half my clothing that I wanted to... then my dad installed a second rod for me in the walk-in closet and I could hang almost everything. I swear, I had about 400 of these hangers, full. Enough that when I got rid of a ton of shit and took off across the country I took maybe 100 of them and the rest made it so there are nothing but thin, velvet hangers in the closets back home.
I have almost cured my excessive clothing problem (so estimating about 75 items hung when none are in the laundry) - but when I was first re-doing my closet with them it probably cost me $350+ just in those hangers alone. I was cray cray.
i have 2 closets...and they are packed...i have the heavy duty pants hangers so i can put 2-3 pairs of jeans on them....i gave away another pair of jeans so i think i'm down to 32..let's not get into work clothes i think i have enough to wear a different outfit (no re use of 1 item) to work for 2 months straight.
then i have the coat closet up stairs and a huge rack of coats down stairs...and 2 dressers.
