We visited family this weekend. Saturday went to one of those places where you can paint a picture on canvas. It was pretty fun, even though I'm not a huge fan of crafty activities.
We visited friends who just had a new baby. He was cute and H held him for awhile. I brought treats for their dog lol.
Sat. night was a surprise birthday party for my MIL.
Sunday we pretty much just drove back and lounged the rest of the day.

Friday we had date night. We tried a new restaurant and it was just ok.
Saturday we cleaned out our closets. God, we got rid of so much stuff. I couldn't believe it. 5 garbage bags worth. 4 went to goodwill, but one was just garbage.
That night we went to a Stout Tasting party. It was good, but I don't like stout.
Sunday I outlet mall shopped. I got two new pairs of jeans and three new tops. That was good. I'm so bad at shopping though, that I was really tired and frustrated at the end of it.

Friday was a low key night. Went out for pizza and then came home and watched the Slums of Beverly Hills. It was a pretty funny movie.
Saturday was hell. Jay was concerned with all the snow on the roof and the deck. So I shoveled about 4' of snow off a 9'x12' desk, plus all the show Jay was shoveling off the roof back onto the deck. We were able to clear about 4' up all the way around, which is letting the ice melt in the gutters. Fun Stuff. That night, after a long, hot bath, we proceeded to prep food for Sunday before finally crashing.
Sunday - Woke up. I went to the grocery store and Jay snowblowed the driveway from the snowstorm. Baked a cake and then hosted a few people for the Daytona 500. It was a lot of fun. I think I watched 10 laps of the whole race and couldn't be more pleased with that!
Jay was SO drunk! I haven't seen him get like that in a while. It was funny. Once everyone left, we cleaned up and Jay went from the life of the party to passed-out cold in minutes. Snoring and everything at 8pm. He was done for the night.
And because this isn't long enough - I thought the Oscars were extremely boring.
Friday I had my forehead botoxed then came home and went straight to bed. I slept from 2:15 until MH woke me at 7. He said he could just picture police showing up suspicious that I had slept so long and he didn't bother checking on me. Ha, ha! We ate then I was asleep again by 11.
Saturday I got groceries, shovelled, and made buns.
Sunday we went and looked at show homes, then I went to my parents for supper.
I didn't watch any of the Oscars, but did look up the dresses online after. I wish I had somewhere to go where I could wear a fancy dress to!
I had to get up really early both days, which left me asleep on the couch by 9pm or so.
The brewfest was the best one yet! We have been going for years (since the first one) and they really had it down this time. Bonus - my BFF snagged a babysitter, phew!

My weekend was really mostly horrific. I had a full blown panic attack and it'd been a long time since that happened. B and I slept separately and needed to think about stuff. I was pretty sure we weren't going to figure it out and there was a lot of crying. That being said it was something we absolutely needed and I feel like both of us are in a much better place, and have a far greater understanding of the other person.
My weekend was sort of all over the place-- Friday I met G and his coworkers for happy hour and pool. Saturday we went out to breakfast and G tried to get a haircut but after being on the list for 2 hours they told us they were closing due to the weather, so I cut his hair when we got home (I think I did a pretty good job!) It was snowing really hard by 2 so we decided to leave early...which was good because it took me 3 hours to make what is normally a 15 minute drive. Nothing was plowed; at least 3" of snow on the beltway. Abandoned cars and accidents everywhere, it was crazy. Saw some phenomenally bad driving! Finally made it to our hotel just in time to get dressed up. Found out our friends weren't coming due to the weather, but we did have a fun group of G's coworkers to hang out with. Gave up on trying to get a cab, so we walked the 6 blocks to the Club. We looked ridiculous with snow boots and parkas on over evening gowns and tuxes! Had a blast all night although I definitely drank too much! Sunday was spent shoveling and then relaxing.
Ugh, sorry, lexxasaurus. Sounds productive but painful.
I had a great weekend! I went up to CT to see my family (in my 100% registered car! lol), and my brother was down from Maine. We just hung out at the house since there was a storm. He made mojitos and I made chicken quesadillas and guac for dinner. He built a fire even though it was snowing. Unfortunately my dad was sick, so he stayed in bed most of the weekend (he is usually the king of drinking outside by the fire, lol).
My other brother came over later on, and all 4 of us trekked through the snow down the street to the cemetery to walk around for no particular reason. It was so peaceful...until my brothers started body slamming each other into snowbanks on the side of the road. hahaha The younger 2 stayed inside after that, but my brother and I had a couple more drinks by the fire and it was nice to catch up.
Sunday I hung out with my Mom, then my sister and I went for pedicures and then we sat outside drinking wine for awhile. I ended up staying over and driving back Monday morning. The best part was that I had one-on-one time with each of my siblings. I always feel so lucky after spending time with my family. Awwww...

I'm back after a surprise 4-day weekend!
Friday I worked late getting ready for the event the next day. Saturday was the gala. I think I was too involved in the execution of the event that I couldn't enjoy myself. Plus I was irritated that the photographer wasn't available at convenient times to take a picture of me and H. And I didn't drink any wine until the event was over. Sunday was a normal Sunday until they announced that campus would be closed on Monday! We had ice Monday and Tuesday so I spent both days with a good mix of productivity and laziness.
