Just last week I saw a link shared on FB: A chick was wrapping her hair around her fingers then wrapping them in foil (like 35 over her entire head) and then clamping down on them with a straightening iron. Wow, droopy curls. Why not just use a curling iron? Who has time for that?

LOL I saw the same thing and I share your reaction!
I don't follow a lot of blogs, but most fashion blogs I just think to myself "I would never /could never wear that", but just because something is NMS or wouldn't work on my body doesn't make it bad advice, KWIM?
I read a post once about this girl's "quick" way to handle second day hair without taking a shower. Which was basically just washing her hair in the sink vs getting in the shower.
What?
The washing my body part isn't the time consuming part. It's the shampoo/conditioner/blowdry/style part, which you would be doing anyway! And frankly, it is more work to do it over the sink anyway? I was way confused.
Many people commented about simply using dry shampoo which she said didn't work for her. There's gotta be a happy medium though!

see i think i could do the curls/foil thing easier than a curling iron. and it would be easier to vary the size of the curls that way, versus mostly the same size OR getting several different irons.
but i'm hair stupid, so it might just make more sense to me than a curling iron, which i am still at 31 fairly useless with.

That's fair! It's an alternative for those that aren't great with other tools.

granted, i would also live in mortal terror of burning off huge curled chunks of hair somehow. so i probably wouldn't do it anyways

I was totally thinking this! I don't know how the foil would change the heat from the iron so it's kind of risky! I would be terrified of frying my hair too!

Hahah this is me. I'm so curling iron stupid it's not even funny.
