I'm hoping you all might have a recommendaton for a curling iron that is good for hair that is hard to curl? I'm starting to take a new hair skin and nails supplement and I'd love to do super long curls this summer but my hair does not hold the curl from my Revon iron. It might look ok as soon as I curl it, but seriously my the time I work my way to the other side of my head the side I started on in start to go flat, and after about an hour it's all more or less straight ? or maybe it's a better hairspray I need? I don't know....I've just never had it work right so I never curl my hair!
I'd say get a curling wand, those seem to hold curls better...for me anyway. Also, too much product will weigh it down. I like to spritz my hair lightly with some sort of texture spray before curling. Lately I've been using the Garnier texture tease (I think that's what it's called).
Nothing has ever curled my hair and stayed until I got a NuMe curling wand. (One of the best trades that I EVER made on Little Black Bag lol) I have had the regular 3/4" barrel and I currently have the Reverse and it's amazing. My curl never lasted longer than an hour and with this wand lasts 3+ days. (I have even tried another brand of the same exact looking wand and curl didn't last... It's so interesting.)
Product and process is very important. I wash normally, use a light hair oil and Living Proof Style Extender. Air dry, and then before curling I use Paul Mitchell Hot Of The Press (heat protectant spray + extra style hold). I don't really ever use hairspray.

I love living proof style extender too. So worth it. I got a sample from sephora and promptly ordered some. It extends the life of my blowout and styles hold longer.
