How is your guy doing with it lately? Jackson had been of the neb for so long that he is completely psycho now, I had to hold him down with my legs last night.
Holy moly, this week they said Jax is 31.5 inches tall and 24 pounds. He is such a munchkin.
We only do it once a day, and it's after he's asleep. He's such a fighter that it's just not worth it to battle. And he sleeps deeply so it's no problem to do it once he's asleep.
Does Jax do one time or two times a day? And is the neb the only way you can give it? I hope he gets used to it soon. It's no fun to fight them.
My H is 6'5" and I am 5'9" so I think we just make big kids. Lib was always at the high end of growth charts too.
We are 5'2 and 5'9 and were never even on the chart as kids!
We were totally off of all breathing treatments and then they took him off the zyrtec and it all started to go downhill two weeks later. He is now back on all four medications, pulimcort and albuterol twice a day for two weeks and then I am supposed to wean him back off to see how he does. I think he just got used to not having to do it anymore so now it just pisses him off, I even tried doing it in his sleep like I used to but no dice there.
The allergist is hoping he just has a summer virus and that the newest episode is not allergy related. If he doesn't do well off of the neb treatments then we are going to go to some sort of preventative inhaler. I think I jinxed the hell out of myself when I said he was doing so well.
We are doing Pulmicort and Zyrtec daily (The Z is more for his eczema than his asthma) and then Albuterol as needed. He made it through his last cold without it, so I am hoping that means the Pulmicort is doing its job.
We were supposed to be doing the pulmicort for a 3 month period to see if it would change the pattern of his asthma, but then the allergist didn't have us book a follow-up so I am not sure what to do there. I guess once we have our new ins coverage I'll book an appt for him to revisit.
Pulmicort, Albuterol, Zyrtec, AND Singulair. I think he must still need the Zyrtec and Singulair in combination and when they took him off of it he just gradually got more and more congested which caused the asthma to act up. If it is just a virus we are hoping that we can take him back off of the pulmicort and albuterol in two weeks and then he will be fine again on just the zyrtec and singulair.
Odd that I am crossing my fingers that Jackson has a virus. LOL.
No idea, they only tested him for 8 things and he wasn't allergic to any of those 8 things which basically means nothing. He is not allergic to the dogs which is good.
He is my child through and through. They tested me the same time they tested him and out of the 40+ things the only thing they could find that I am allergic to is a grass that doesn't grow in Delaware.
lol at the grass that doesn't grow in Delaware. Too funny.
Mason got tested for 20 something things, including the common grasses, mold, food allergens, etc. Even our guinea pig. Only dogs. Which is both good and bad.
poor Jax! What a pain.
I wish we could figure out a solution for his eczema though. It's awful.

Oh I was just tested in January and the only thing they say I'm allergic to is mold. Horseshit! Raspberries give me hives and throat swelling. I'm staring to think those tests are dumb. Hope both boys get less wheezy!

Well, you could be allergic to horeshit as well. I doubt that is something they test for!
I totally agree, there is no way I don't have a sensitivity at least to cat dander. I break out in hives ever ytime I am around one. The answer I got was that I am probably allergic to environmental things that can't be tested for. Nice.
The zyrtec isn't helping M for the eczema? Allergies are so frustrating.
