I am NOT taking my children to the doctor for a cold and I wish people would stop judging me for that. She does NOT need antibiotics and that's the only thing a doctor can do!
If I hear any abnormal breath sounds (uh, normal coughing even if there's a lot of it doesn't count), then I'll take her. If I hear a barking cough, I'll take her. Until then, we'll be waiting it out.

We don't have any grown up glassware. My husband collects pint glasses from different breweries and we use those. Just one of many ways in which I don't feel like an adult yet.
Lol same here! All of our glasses are from breweries. Our husbands should get on famously.
I will not I will not I will not have 3 in diapers
Best of luck and not to burst your bubble - the boys were trained until the summer after they turned 3. That made DS1 3 and 4 months and DS2 3 and 9 months. Trust me when I say it was not from lack of trying.

I haven't planned anything for L's birthday and I have no idea where to start. We've had parties for her first and second birthdays. I don't know why there's a block this time around.
*whispers* We're not having a party at all.
Neither are we! They get a 1st Bday party and then not another until they are 5.
Nothing wrong with that! If we weren't likely to move in the near future, I would be inclined to go that route. But I want her to celebrate with the friends she (and I) have made in the area.
@betsyray, I hope your mid-to-late April isn't too full yet.

We haven't really had a party at all for him, even his first. We had another family over for dinner, but that's it. Abby didn't get any kind of party until she was 4. This year I'm not sure if we're even going to have another family over. We'll see.
fadedscars I am so sorry you are struggling . Can you speak with a trusted doctor who might be able to help you. You are so sweet, kind and funny. You deserve happiness.

I need more information on these sweatpants. Do they have the elastic on the bottom? Are the super huge or do they fit? Do they have paint stains and/or bleach stains on them?

Last weekend DH and I were doing the sex and right at the finish, Lyla's face shows up at the side of our bed. She woke up, snuck out of her room, and came into ours without us hearing! At least it was her and not dylan because we might have had some questions to answer to him!

I am team dixee. The last time I took Wyatt to the Dr for something other than his regular yearly check up was last year when he had croup. A plain old cold is not a reason to go to the Dr in my books!

My dh wears the second picture ones to work. He is a heavy duty mechanic and wears coveralls all day. As soon as he is home he changes into jeans. He will not go anywhere in his sweats other than work.
We don't have anything but pint glasses either earlybird! Lol. My H also brews beer so we can use that excuse I guess.
I ate meat on Ash Wednesday and didn't go to church. I have a hard time going through and justifying to my H, the religious rituals I don't enjoy. I make a far better case for Christmas traditions and Easter baskets than Lent. Bad bad Catholic.
I can't wrap my mind around the need to put on "real" pants. If I'm going to a friend's house or out to dinner I *may* put on jeans. But the grocery store?? Yoga pants for sure.
I've always liked the idea of bedsharing but it hasn't really worked with either kid. Kai was up too often. Taj wiggles in his sleep CONSTANTLY. Dude. Stop wiggling. I don't know if those who bedshare are just deeper sleepers, or have less wiggly children, or what.

We don't bedshare, but L is less wiggly and sleeps more deeply when someone sleeps next to her.
Why are leggings acceptable but not yoga pants? Not directed at you, jfh, just a general question that I'm too lazy to make another post for.
I would wear leggings or sweat pants to a friends for dinner too
We went out to dinner the other night and I wore leggings
I like being comfortable. The first thing I do when I get home from work is change out of my pants/skirt and bra and into leggings/sweat pants and a nursing tank
