I'm on the T at Park St. coming home from work. 3 women get on and begin to talk about how one had just moved there the others were visiting blah blah. It's rush hour and they're leaning over me to look at the map near my seat and the new Boston transplant says, "Oh, were on the red line" and I look up and say, "This is actually the green line" and she replies, "Uh yeah honey I know that I mean I live on the Red Line" all snotty and know-it-all. Ok, lady.
They start to map out new girl's commute. Red to Green from Somerville to Longwood and decide to do a dry run tomorrow for her first day on Monday. They decide to build in extra time because of the weekend schedule and decide that the T will be faster during the week. They decide to add in a few mins, you know, because people have to get on and off. Then they marvel at the fact that the T has stopped and decide that it's a one off thing - that won't happen during the week.
I LOLed and LOLed inside my head. I TRIED to be nice because you are new to town but you were snotty back to me and think you know it all. Enjoy your commute on Monday, lady! I'm sure it'll be super efficient!
Haha, she's in for a surprise on Monday. She's going to be so late for her first day of work. I was talking to a friend who commutes via red line and it sounds insane! I feel bad and while traffic has sucked for driving lately, I had no idea how bad it is on the T!!!

HAHAHAHAHA! She thinks a few mminutes extra will be enough. I hope that she wasn't too attached to that new job since she is going to be like 2 hours late for her first day.
