Don't forget to "spring forward" and all that shit.
Frankly I hate DST. It's my understanding that the Alaska state legislators are looking at a bill to end DST up here in Alaska where it's still broad daylight at 11:30 p.m. (at least in Anchorage). I think it's an idea whose time has come. lol

Some business folks are clucking because it would put us two hours behind Seattle in the spring/summer, but shoot, it used to be that way back in the early 80's year-round and we all seemed to be able to survive. lol

My tulips are already starting to peep up because our weather has been so mild. But I'm like "nooooooooooo! it's too soon! Your little noses are going to get frost nip!"

There is something very very wrong with the world when your bulbs are coming up in Alaska while we are still buried under 3-4 feet of frozen snow in CT.
My blueberry bushes are completely covered!
We've enjoyed more mild weather here compared to many places in the US. It's crazy.

My dad's friend is a fishing outfitter in Alaska and sent my dad pictures today of him with the fish they caught saying it was 40 and sunny and, well, you know what it is like here.

I hate it, too. It's weird to me that I enjoy the opposite times now that I have kids. Spring forward? Used to mean losing an hour a sleep. Now it means my kid will start getting up at 7:30 instead of 6:30. Fall back? Used to mean an extra hour of sleep. Now it's the worst effing thing in the world.

Amen. I was amazed 20 years ago during my first Easter in MD that people could wear actual spring dresses and no winter coats over it! ( grew up in RI). Every year still amazes me how early the daffodils poke up. Under the snow we still have here in MD not sure when we'll see them now :-(

This is exactly how I feel about it! For maybe a week until DS3 adjusts, I'll be able to get the older two on the bus while he still (hopefully) sleeps.
I'm glad we change. It's terrible trying to get kids to do work at school when it's still dark which is what would happen if we didn't switch in the winter.
