DS2 is nursing right now for the first time in a week!!!!! OMG I will be so happy if he goes back to it.
ETA: He's 6mo old and stopped nursing when he was hospitalized for RSV. I couldn't get him back on the boob until just now. I don't want anyone thinking I'm forcing a weaned older kid to nurse or something.
A lot better. DS2 is still wheezing a little bit. It's cycling through the rest of us and DS1 and I have it now, but of course it's much milder in us. Thanks for asking!
I had this nightmare last night that I was at Chernobyl and it had been turned into a horror theme park. Like a haunted house sorta. You had obstacles and there were sharks (like the universal studies jaws ride) and owls and rats and zombies that were trying to attack you while you hauled ass through the obstacles.

Does DS2 have a nebulizer? Our pedi says to use it every 4 hours until he's wheeze AND cough free for 2 days. Then taper back to every 6 hours, then 2x a day, then done.
DH just left for work, and he called to tell me how icy it is. He said if I have any trouble, I should just stay home. Noooo! I NEED to get out of the house!

DD got up a little early today, but so far no diarrhea (I was expecting to get up motn to deal with some). We went to IKEA on Saturday and picked up her twin mattress and HEMNES dresser, but we also got her a spare lovey (we call him bunny). She got her hands on both of them this morning and it's so adorable. She doesn't seem to mind that new bunny is fresh and clean and old bunny is lumpy and worn.
DS woke up dry from his first overnight in underwear. Good bye diapers for the next 5 months anyway! He told me he had to save all his diapers for Doda (what he calls the baby).
I have 15 pages left of the book I'm reading, I'm in the main climactic action sequence, and I cannot string more than half a minute of time together this morning and keep rereading the same paragraph. Now I'm putting ds2 down for a nap. Hopefully it lasts at least 10 minutes so I can end the suspense!
H is home tonight after working five 12 hour night shifts in a row (the joys of nursing...). I'm ridiculously excited to watch the walking dead with him. Watching a tv show as a couple is annoying bc I just want to binge watch when he is gone.
I'm dead tired today but I don't think I can even blame it on the kids. I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure the girls were only up a couple of times and I know J did wake up and I slept in his bed for a while. I think I was just awake
I think the chances of puking at work this morning are nearing 100%. Fml
I'm sorry my girlfriend always has hg with her pregnancies and starts vomiting early And continues throughout the pregnancy. She has 3 kids and has had more miscarriages than anyone I know. Needless to say she has puked at work countless times and obviously with all the mc never wants to tell them early. She always has to walk out of stalls and pretend like nothing is wrong while her Co workers all give her the look to say "I know you are pregnant but will deny it"
I'm eating Goldfish for breakfast. Really need to go to the grocery store this morning. I wish we had a Super Target because then I would go buy some chocolate hazelnut Uncrustables, too. Cartwheel app says they are only available at Super Targets, but I'm hoping maybe they will pop up at my regular Target sometime.
I'm going to have to acknowledge the fact that my kids wake up at 6. They do, all of them. They rotate who gets up first and then they wake up the house. Every morning, no avoiding it, no one goes back to sleep. Six AM it is. Deep breath.
At this point, all I can change is my mindset because spending 30-45 minutes trying to get a three year old to be quiet/not turn on the lights/stop bothering his sister is no way to start a morning.
I think tomorrow I'll plan on getting up at 6 and running or something since we'll have a full 100 minutes of family time together before DH has to leave for work lol.
My supply all of a sudden has decided to be funky. Since returning to work I was already barely making enough and I had to pump 30 minutes at work since it seemed to take awhile for milk to start coming even with massaging. Well now at home I have to pump 30 minutes! And I have to really work to get extra milk during the MOTN session which I used to easily get 10-12 oz. I'm trying not to stress. If formula x2 wasn't so expensive I would quit. My first goal was 6 months which is 6 weeks away. We'll see what happens then.
The babies have passed along their colds to me. I'm at work, exhausted and feeling like crap.
DS keeps doing this thing where he wakes up an hour after going to bed. He fusses so much that we have to get him out of the nursery or he gets loud and starts to wake up his sister. He was then wide awake for the next hour and a half. After trying numerous things to soothe him, he eventually threw up all over himself, DH and the couch. We then changing him, and put him down in the swing which is where he spent the rest of the night.
We have music today and then tonight we go pick up my brand new car! I've never had a new car before!!!!!!! I'm so excited, has all the great options that make driving so nice!

Early risers are the worst. I have spent wayy too many mornings trying (unsuccesfully) to get DS1 to lay down just a little longer. Today I just accepted it. DS2 was up at 5:20a and DS1 was up at 6:15a. Everything went much smoother and it was a nice morning. I'm sure I will go back to desperately trying to get them to sleep though lol.
I have a hair appointment this morning so DD is going to MIL's for an hour. I'm dreading dropping her off there because, while she means well, she gushes over EVERYTHING. I do not want to sit there for an additional hour and listen to her gush. And how she is obsessed with the idea that this baby is a boy. Maybe it is, maybe it is not! Nothing we can do about it either way, LOL.

Oooohhh! What did you get!? I'm getting a minivan later this year :-/I'm actually starting to get excited about the space though, lol.
Help - what should I do? I'm on my first business trip for my new company (been here since oct). When I boarded my flight last night I was fine. During the flight DH texted me to say he puked and was feeling awful. Long story short I did too when I got to my hotel. I'm supposed to work out of one of my company's other offices today and meet a bunch of coworkers. I have to call in sick right? That's better than getting others sick, I hope I don't look too flakey though.

A Pathfinder! About as close to a minivan without being a minivan. I couldn't do it, we discussed it for a second and I told dh I wouldn't enjoy driving it and I would rather keep my old car. We are car people, even DS. At the auto show, he kept saying 'ooh' and had so much fun looking at the cars. When DH told him he got to go with us to pick Mommy's new car, he said 'oooh'. He looks through car magazines with DH too. It's hilarious.

I'm sorry you two. It really does suck. I'm in the same boat. DS used to sleep until 7, but since we switched to the toddler bed he's up between 6-6:30. Today was 6:10. I tried for awhile to get him to snuggle in my bed, but then he INSISTS on napping in "mommy's bed" and I'm like WTF, no, you nap great in your own bed. So I stopped bringing him into my bed in the morning and I just get up. DH was very sweet this morning as he was getting ready for work (he normally bolts out the door), he said "well if he's going to be up, then I get to see him, yay!" And he changed DS's diaper and gave him his medicine while I woke up, which was super nice.
This morning was bad. E was used to sleeping in from the snow days and weekend. She was dead asleep when I went in to wake her. Then it was a battle of everything. She didn't want me to leave her at daycare either and wasn't her normal happy self. These days are no fun. I have a feeling DH is going to have one tired girl on his hands when he picks up.
sh10 ditto.. I love cars and was struggling. We went to the DC auto show a few weeks ago to hopefully find an suv with a third row and decent cargo. My main thing was trying to fit the double bob in the trunk and it just seemed like I wouldn't be able to it was hard to pass up the storage space in the van for camping, the bob, the dog... Boo. H is pumped about being able to fit 4x8 sheets of drywall/plywood, etc. lol.
