It seems they've stopped offering the Poly suit grab bags under this sale, but you can still get $12 competition suits, which isn't terrible. Great for practice, and I actually got my current favorite suit from them when they did a $10 grab bag sale last year. It was AWESOME. They also have misprint silicone caps for $3.22, which is an amazing deal too.

do you have any recommendations for paddles? I am not new to swimming but I'm new to skills and drills if that makes sense.

Do you need them? If your stroke is good, they can be helpful, but if you have errors in your stroke, they can cause shoulder problems. Just an FYI. I'd check with your coach to verify that you need them and/or are cleared to use them.
These paddles are only held on by a correct stroke pattern (and the thumbhole). They're perfect if you're trying to get your stroke right, but if your stroke is bad, they'll be frustrating (although you'll know you need to work on your catch and pull). Bonus, they're fast to put on and take off.
These are the paddles I use. I like the contoured hand style because I'm a hand "cupper" and they remind me to open my hand a little without pushing my hand to flat (which gives me hand cramps). They are great on the pull, but if there's a problem with your catch they'll make your hand go all over the place. Again, possibility for injury if that's the case.
