i'm should be trying to dig my house out from the tornado of weekend visitors + birthday party. not finding a lot of motivation though. i'm more seriously considering a beer and early bedtime or maybe just an early bedtime.
I may have a touch of the stomach bug DD had on Sunday. I've been miserable all day with no appetite, which led to being extremely cold this afternoon and evening (I'm always freezing if I don't eat enough). No puking or diarrhea yet, but I had to take zofran today which I haven't in weeks. I hate feeling sick, especially while pregnant.

My husband pretends like he knows what I do for work. Most of my family can't even tell you my job title or my company name. Not because it's secret, but they just don't pay any damn attention.
I am going to Denver the week after next and want to buy a black blazer and a pair of pumps. I am meeting my boss and his boss for the first time. Impressions and all that.
The thought of eating out every meal again for a week annoys me more than anything. It is really damn hard to find places that are WW friendly without resorting to baked chicken and steamed vegetables over and over.
I'm doing baby foot right now, working on our taxes, and drinking a diet caffeine free coke. So, coolest person on mmm tonight? Clearly.
gah, I can't believe you are doing your taxes already…I need to get my act in order but feel so unmotivated. Partially because I am worried we will owe because of our EI income.
@vicmo inspired me to at least log into my EI account and download the tax info i need from mat leave.
usually we have our taxes filed and refund in hand by the first week of march, but i've totally been avoiding it because i don't understand, and therefore am afraid of, the EI stuff. i didn't get much from EI, certainly nowhere near the max, but i'm sure i'll still owe something. h usually gets a huge return though so it will offset.
maybe tomorrow i'll gather up the rest of our papers and get it in to our tax guy.
GIVE ME THE SAHM MEDAL. I am COMPLETELY caught up on laundry! There's not a piece of dirty laundry in the whole house. Even all the sheets and towels are clean. WHERE'S MY TROPHY?!
Me too! Can we get ice cream sundaes together instead of trophies? Oooo or brownie sundaes...mmmm....
Anyone have the perfect gray paint color for 2-story rooms? I need to pick a color so we can get the house painted but I'm really nervous. I can't test them up high so I think I'm going to just have to hope for the best. The current color is a weird tan with green undertones. YUCK. I don't even really want to decorate much because everything I like looks terrible with the paint color and with 2 story spaces, it's a LOT of the ugly color.
Also my baby is sort of pathetic looking right now. He has cradle cap, baby acne, and a receding hairline, plus he is too long for NB clothes but way too small for 0-3 so everything is really ill fitting.
I hate that stage. Both times my kids looked like that MIL hosted a family meet the baby party at her house with all the people. You could see the ugly truth in the faces of the two teenage boy cousins (who love kids....)

Is that what I do? Log into Service Canada and download info from there? Our taxes should be relatively easy…my T4, DHs T4, about a 1/4 of the charitable donations we usually make because of our leaves, our EI income and that's it…no schooling to claim this year…once I actually log into service canada (and DH does too) we should deb good to go. I just worry about screwing up - never had EI before but will end up having it for 2014, 15 and 16 so I might as well get used to it.

H and I got t4e forms mailed to us for our ei income.
Hmm, see, and we haven't yet and I feel like if we were going to get them we would have already gotten them? I got our T4s from our employer in the mail already, so I have those.

The ei really scared me. They only took 5% out of my money. I got my taxes done last week and the accountant aaid I'm good but only because of rrsps. You might be ok because of your pensions? I wish I had called service Canada to increase the withholdings.

I asked them to withhold but I don't know how much they actually withheld in terms of %…not enough I am sure.

I downloaded the forms on their website too. They never mailed them to me.

i think I remembe checking a box that said I would download it myself instead of requesting a hard copy in the mail. I also vaguely feel like this is something new with 2014 claims.
but given that this all happened just before delivery/with a newborn my memory is not to be taken as the gospel truth
@icedgems, rugbywife - I don't think they withheld any taxes from mine :/ I need to look at it better this morning.
I make peanuts compared to you both though so I'm guessing thats part of it. even with my ~7 weeks of regular employment I made less than $11k the whole year. good thing I have a sugar daddy

Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray is their most popular I believe.

I worked for party of the year but for the ei portion they withheld $900 from $20000. If I hadn't put so much in my rrsp, I would have owed quite a bit

there is a big ol' blank in the "income tax deducted" box, but I only got $7400 in EI. I don't put anything in an rrsp (bad mmer, I know). oh well. we'll send it off to our tax guy and see what the damage is. h's refund will more than cover anything I could owe. and beyond that - emergency fund!
