I think I'm getting sick. I've been feeling a little worn down the past couple days, but I just attributed it to my 4:20am wake up calls to get my workouts in. I'm just hoping whatever it is passes quickly, and that the girls or DH doesn't get it. Our trip is quickly approaching, and that's the last thing we need.
My panic attack I had about my dog yesterday was probably completely unwarranted. She had been acting off and I though I felt weird lumps in her neck. So we took her to the vet and they found nothing wrong (we are still waiting on blood work results but I bet they will be normal).
Here's what I think happened. DH bought some of her food (we have to do LID for her) that was close to its expiration date. She hasn't been eating it. We have another bag of the same food so we opened that last night and she ate it! Today she is acting more herself. So I think it wa s just bad food. It sucks that we have to toss $50 worth of food though.
Today is going to be a long one. This morning A is getting a haircut! Yay! It's too long, so we'll cut it back into a Bob. She loved the Bob. Then we're stopping by my parents because I'll have an hour to kill before I have to drive an hour to the airport to pick up mil. Then drive an hour back home. Fingers crossed A does okay with all that driving and a super late nap or no nap.
The Internet is down at my office but the phones work. I really wish it were the opposite. My phone never fucking stops ringing. I have 38 voicemails from 8pm last night until now. Use email, people!
Madison was being a stinker about getting out the door with DH for daycare this morning. This sucks for me because it delayed me getting on the treadmill so I only got 2 miles in. Boo.
I feel bad that DH hasn't worked out in months, either, but we talked about it and it seems like he understands that if it's a choice between which one of us find time that I get first dibs. I mean, I'm the one who had to gain all the weight and until it comes off, that's only fair. Hopefully it won't take too much longer and we can both get into a routine.
Though I haven't been running a ton lately or anything, the amount I have been doing I've noticed has made the times I have to run to catch my train much less painful since I'm perpetually late, this is a good thing lol
Nanny mom left for a two day trip today. She hung out at the house for like two hours before leaving and she kept staring at my stomach. I've been able to hide it, and am planning to officially tell her Friday. That's when she'll be back, and is working from home. Since she doesn't really work, and just has me there in case of a work emergency, I figure we will have plenty of time to talk about it and talk about any concerns she might have. But, I think she now knows or strongly suspects. Nanny dad is clueless so I'm not worried about him figuring it out.

I am so grateful we start wlc 2 this friday. My scales says I'm up 5 lbs since last friday, and I'm now eating a Starbucks old fashioned donut. Somebody help me.
Yesterday was a tough day. In addition to a $200 vet bill (just for blood work) may had a huge tantrum bc I wouldn't play hide and seek with her at the vets office. All I wanted was a beer and I couldn't have one! Also I have to go back to the vet this morning so the catcan have an appointment with the actual vet and so they can take even more if my money.
An acquaintance of mine is asking for advice on facebook because they're buying a new house and are trying to decide if they want a pool. I really want to write something to the effect of "A pool is a great addition to a house, especially with three children and the hot Georgia summers! But, as you fail to control, or even pay attention to your children under normal circumstances, I think a pool is WAY too risky." But to avoid a scene, I'll just keep my opinion out of the conversation. If it looks like they're going to get a pool, I'll just be sure to suggest all sorts of fence companies, alarm systems, and every other safety feature I can.
muppetinma I love having a pool but we are so careful about it. I hate it when people have them with no consideration for the safety issues.
At a birthday party at her house last year, somebody found her 1.5 year old roaming up and down their street by herself. (They were all in the back yard. She just assumed that somebody was keeping an eye on her kid, I guess?) And now she wants a pool.
I am so incredibly tired. DH was out of town Sunday through 1AM this morning. So, I was solo parenting. The girls were actually really pretty good, so it wasn't that bad. But, I think the stress of trying to get them everywhere, worrying about DH driving so much in bad weather and just being 38 weeks pregnant, got to me. Now that he is home, I could relax a bit this morning. I didn't sleep well because I knew he was coming home and then DD2 came in our room shortly after he got home.
I don't remember being this done in my previous pregnancies. But, I would be totally fine with going into labor at any time. I am totally over it at this point. It hurts to walk, I can't sleep, I can't even sit comfortably. Right now, I just want to curl up in my bed and go back to sleep. Too bad I am at work right now
Apparently Madison was all kinds of cute on the car on the drive in today. Singing happy birthday. DH asked her what he does at work (the usual answer is 'teaches math') but today she said 'makes money so we can buy tacos.' lol.
We have are running joke where we were equating how much money we made to how many tacos you can buy. So when she was stalling this morning I told her she had to hurry up so daddy could go to work and make the money for tacos. I think we're confusing our kid.

I've been so busy dreading my glucose test I have tomorrow that I forgot that I also have a follow up ultrasound to check on his kidneys. I'm excited to see my little guy! And for Wes to be there, considering he had to miss the anatomy scan. Yaaaay!
I'm starting to get really annoyed with this weather. I am also starting to get really annoyed with the businesses that close all day just for 3-4" of snow. It's NY. It snows. They plow. Life needs to go on. I don't get it.

Two students in my class have birthdays today. Both come from houses that I trust to be assflake free. Looks like I will be eating cupcakes twice today.
Yep, I get a omggggg you will have this baby here! About 100x a day. LOL.
My last scheduled day is actually the day after my due date, the 13th. If I'm still pregnant by then it will not be pretty. Ha
Oh my gosh a full week next week!? Can you take a day off this week and next to help make it? I think I am taking Friday off and my last day next week will be Tuesday (my CS is Friday).
Just trying to preserve my sick time since I'm taking so much time off. Having a student teacher helps though.
rjamz, do you mind sharing what grow light you bought? My husband is trying to convince me we need a super crazy fancy one. I am, in turn, trying to convince him we aren't growing for Burpee (or kind, lol) and a less expensive model will suffice.
