rjamz, do you mind sharing what grow light you bought? My husband is trying to convince me we need a super crazy fancy one. I am, in turn, trying to convince him we aren't growing for Burpee (or kind, lol) and a less expensive model will suffice.

Awesome, thanks! The first one was similar to what I was looking at. We have a small one with some fancy bulbs, but I was wanting something simpler (and cheaper to replace). That diy system is pretty sweet though, and we have the room...maybe that's the way to go!

(My seeds are in transit, I'm pumped)
I think the DIY system is the best, actually. I find the tabletop one to be a major PITA and the light is very thin so it doesn't distribute the light like I would want
rjamz That's good to know about the light distribution. I think we'll DIY it then. Thanks for the link! How are your starters doing?? Do you talk and sing encouraging growing things to them??
Nanny mom left for a two day trip today. She hung out at the house for like two hours before leaving and she kept staring at my stomach. I've been able to hide it, and am planning to officially tell her Friday. That's when she'll be back, and is working from home. Since she doesn't really work, and just has me there in case of a work emergency, I figure we will have plenty of time to talk about it and talk about any concerns she might have. But, I think she now knows or strongly suspects. Nanny dad is clueless so I'm not worried about him figuring it out.
Is it just me, or do you have a picture of Paula and that other guy from American Idol hugging as your siggy???

They're doing really well! We don't talk to them, lol. Except Jamie. He converses with them all the time

The school still took Louie for an evaluation. I am so relieved its over, and i am so impressed that they still really wanted to see him even with the delay and having to catch up. It was just an hour late. He did really well too. Im at work, and breathing a sigh of relief. That was weighing on my shoulders bad.
This is my weirdo kid, hanging out on the bathroom toilet. If I leave the door unlocked, this is where she goes. She'll tear up toilet paper, try to get in my makeup (successfully, more than once) or whatever else she can get in to. Crazy kid.
I have a huge AW, but here goes! I was debating on running last night because I was so exhausted, but it was like 60 degrees, so I couldn't pass it up. I ran a 5k in like 23 minutes and some change and I wasn't even trying my hardest.
That's 2:30 minutes off per mile than when I started back running. I haven't been consistently this fast since HIGH SCHOOL. I am so excited and also so surprised at how all this hard work has paid off.
I saw this yesterday and was going to comment that you ran 3 miles and I ran 2. We had the same time LOL.
I'm starting to get really annoyed with this weather. I am also starting to get really annoyed with the businesses that close all day just for 3-4" of snow. It's NY. It snows. They plow. Life needs to go on. I don't get it.
Agreed, except I really hope my office is a business that closes all day tomorrow for just a bit of snow. We've only had one snow day this year. Wah.
My child won't like the shows I want her to! We have Disney Jr now and I was so excited for her to love Doc McStuffins, I just like the concept of the show. She likes Sofia the First and Sheriff Callie more.
I found out that Dr Weissbluth's son (and his protege) is a pediatrician in Chicago who takes my insurance. And he makes house calls!!! I find this awesome.

That is because Sofia and Callie are better.
I don't like Doc McStuffins.
Now THERE is a UO!
The only Disney Jr show G has seen is Mickey Mouse Club.
S/o shows, we watched Caillou for the first time the other day.

irishsara and I took the kids to our science center to get some kid energy out before it snows here. Carter hugged Charlie and it was the cutest thing ever! And Reid's so big. Now we're back and it isn't snowing yet, so I should go to the gym. Instead, I want to make nachos and put myself in a guacamole coma.

Henry's really into miles from tomorrowland, he used to love Mickey, I like Mickey more.

Weird. That's the name of my mariachi/punk fusion band.
Ugh I think ada might be getting pink eye. It's not red yet but it has nasty goop coming out of it, and she's messing with it. I hope it's a fluke and she has something stuck in it or something instead.
