Has anyone tried this? Yes I've desperately been searching the Internet for ways to make my child STTN again. Lol
Seems it would be easier than CIO because well less heart wrenching ... BUT then being there with him I would be much more likely to cave and just nurse him ... And my talking /comforting him combined with his screams would surely wake matilda
Anyway just wondering if anyone tried this sleep training method?
I've not quite reached the end of my rope yet, so he has a little more time lol

I just wanted to say that I don't know what to do about sleep either. She will go back to sleep if I nurse her for a couple of minutes but I can't keep getting up all night. And one day I won't be nursing anymore. What then? I'm sorry, but I can commiserate.
We did a modified version with Olivia and it reduced her wakings from hourly or more frequent to 2-3 wakeups. It is so much work. It takes a long time. I remember the first week spending an hour plus just for bedtimes and then there was MOTN wake ups. It was labor intensive and I really appreciated having H to tag in. It did work well for her though. We tried with Claire around 5 months and she would have non of it.

I'm using this method with popcorn right now. Pick up, put down throat. Repeat until bag is empty, mouth is burning from salt, and button on pants bursts.
I did give the baby sleep version a very weak try but I do recall a lot of success stories back in my old AP board days.

It worked for Adrien but it was a LOT of work and I cried a lot. He went from only sleeping in my bed, attached to my boob, for 30 minute stretches all night long to now down for naps and bedtime without nursing, in his own crib and only up twice a night. I had him down to only one wake up a night but because of his refusing to eat solids for a week I started the second feeding motn because I was worried he wasn't getting enough and was hungry. I have to cut it out again soon, when he's not teething or sick like he is now. My husband puts him down for naps, awake, in his crib and he puts himself to sleep. It's magical compared to how things were 5 months ago.

This is precisely why Colin still nurses (seriously).
Hugs to all you guys. It's hard. I make my H deal with Oliver - Colin is trouble enough, lol.

We tried it too and it really was so much work and it didn't go well for us at all. Plus, I was pregnant and it made it harder I think. But I think my kids' temperament doesn't mix well with these types of strategy either, and that's just why for us, it didn't work. Lots of people do have success from what I've read, but not instant
