Did you guys see Castro's cryptic Instagram? Picture of Nanos with the comment: 15.2 shoes. Nanno 2.0s. #classic
Soooooo I'm thinking we are getting a repeat wod from 2012- 2013.
I'm not saying you're wrong because god knows how that man's mind works, but last week he posted a pic of his Nanos too. I just looked up the caption and didn't see any clues there: "15.1 shoes. Brown leather 2.0 Nanos #classics #CrossFit #reebok @reebok @crossfit". I think he just likes showing off his style and unlimited Reebok swag

FWIW, Kiki Dickson is in the background of this video saying "an EMOM in the Open." I don't know that it's relevant the athletes are doing burpees, and I feel like I saw something last week where she was clearly just practicing by saying random movements, but then again they DID use her to present the chipper last year...

(Delete the spaces and C&P, it was embedding giant and giving me an error otherwise)
I'm going to do everything I can tomorrow and Saturday to see if I can get C2B. On Monday I'm going to make the decision and do it: if I can get even just 1 rep I'll do it Rx; if I can't, then I go scaled. 14.2 had me in a funk for several days last year, so I'm not doing that again! I had my moment of depression, now I can only do my best.
My total reps will probably be 9. I'm in the scaled and chin over bar is not my strong point. I will be able to do a few but I don't think I'll make it to the third round.

emilyinchile I was thinking about it on Tuesday when I had c2bin a wod. The difference for me is pulling my legs up higher in my kip ( like, parallel to floor). If I just try to kip hard and don't change any positioning, I get high enough but don't touch. I can try to find a video if that would help.
Wednesday, I had an EMOM with box jumps on odd minutes and 5-7 C2B on even minutes and I seriously felt invincible. I promise you that tonight I'll be flailing around like a fish lol.

I will take anything you've got, thanks! My plan of being all easy breezy about it failed pretty spectacularly this morning. I've tried kipping, butterfly, some weird combo of the two (which is of course not the ideal, but it seems to be what my body naturally does when I think "now go, up up up!"), hands farther apart, hands closer together, thicker bar, thinner bar...and they all have the same result of ohhhh, SO close.
My hand also ripped in a completely new place - under my pinky knuckle, not where I have a callus but lower than that - totally out of the blue without warning, so that's added fun.
I nearly always tear on the center of my palms and never on callouses. So weird.
Me too! This is so strange. And I didn't even tear on the pull up practice, I stopped that and was doing some OHS just with the bar to open my hips up, and when I went to put the bar down I felt it. Clearly the universe is just conspiring against me.

#realmitch says it's because I hold onto the bar too tightly, but if I told hold on, I can only do <5 unbroken. I've gotta hold on if I'm going to stay up there!

How bad is the tear?
I know what you mean. I do my grip correctly at first for regular pull ups in WODs but then sometimes have to switch to a full-palm death grip as I get tired. That can lead to rips, but sometimes you do what you've gotta do, right?
Tear isn't too bad. It's a little half-moon flap, and I've got skin-repairing cream on it now. Whatever happens on Monday, the tear won't be the limiting factor in how well I do.
