For the past couple snowstorms we've had, a neighbor of ours cleans all the sidewalks on our short street with his snow blower. He has also cleared out the entrance to our driveway and in front of our mailbox (he only does this for us and one other neighbor I think). I have thanked him in person but want to give him something. Are baked goods enough? Something else?
FWIW, it's nice of him, but we actually don't mind shoveling snow. But it's still thoughtful and these are very nice neighbors in general. He said he does it because he loves using his snow blower and doesn't often have the chance.
I think baked goods are a good idea. Or maybe a meal - lasagna or a casserole or something? Before we had a snow blower, sometimes the neighbors would help us out. Now that we do have a snow blower, DH sometimes helps out our neighbor that doesn't. Sort of a pay it forward thing. And he really doesn't mind or expect anything for it.
Our neighbor does this. I baked a pan of brownies and dropped it with a note. If you want to do a bit more my other thought was a gas card for the snow blower gas.
