I have some cleaning to do, but for now I'm just eating some oatmeal and shopping around for Mother's Day gifts for my MIL. She is so hard to shop for because she has everything. I found a shirt I think she might like, but I don't know if I should order it now, or wait for it to go on sale and risk it being out of stock. The joys of buying gifts for in-laws lol.
I've got some house stuff to do this afternoon. Tonight, I'm meeting a friend to go see 50 Shades. DH won't get back from his work trip till tomorrow. I miss him.
We just got back from the grocery store and of course it was hectic. DH is making some mac n cheese (my mom's recipe) and I'm folding and putting up laundry. I need to sweep and mop, but it's raining so the dogs are tracking muddy paw prints every time we let them in after going potty. So it seems like a waste.
We did listen to Max Lucado this morning for church (he had a live stream from his home church in San Antonio) and it was a good sermon. Our goal is to see him live sometime, he's not there every week.
I have done oodles of laundry and eaten Chipotle for lunch. We are going to my parents' house for an early dinner in a couple of hours and I'll probably watch a few episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt in the meantime. I am excited for a late sunset!
I got up super early, especially with the time change, to go get bloodwork done at my new RE. So then I treated myself to a venti chai at Starbucks.
DH has been painting trim and a couple cabinets all weekend and is making great progress. I'm super happy that I have kid duty instead of painting duty.
We have DH's cousin coming over in 45 minutes to watch DS so we can go on a date. I think we'll go to a couple stores and then an early dinner.

Well, in the last 48 hours we've decided to go ahead and list our house for sale. So today we went to a couple open houses. Now we are waiting for our potential listing agent to drop by. I can just feel all the stress this will bring! House hunting is the worst.

So, the bifold closet door we bought last year and stained and varnished, does not fit in the closet opening. Another case of this house has nothing in it that's built straight or level. We tried trimming some off the bottom, and it still doesn't fit. I'm so ready to be done with this house it's not even funny. And now I have at least another week with nothing but a babygate in front of the closet. I can't even express my frustration to H because he will get all pissy.

The selling agent just said she thought our house would sell in under two weeks. Uhhh cue panic!
We've been lazy today. Ordered pizza for dinner and binge watching Breaking Bad. We watched a couple episodes a while ago but didn't get sucked in. Now we're on season 2!
jjwritergirl We're currently in a 2 bed townhouse with teeny tiny backyard. With two labs, we need more backyard space. Plus with kids hopefully happening soon, we're looking for a 3-4 bedroom. Most likely still in the southwest suburbs, unless we decide to commute from just over the IN border. We'll see- we're not searching until the townhouse has a contract on it.
wanderingenough You may have the same issues we did! We had to hustle to find a house we liked quickly! GL to you too grover !
@moonbeam - I felt like it followed the story line much closer than people were telling me. (Granted, I read the books over a year ago). They left some stuff out, but they didn't alter it as much as I heard they did. But I liked what they did with the screenplay. I don't think they softened Christian up too much like I was fearing. He did a decent job with the character. I liked it overall. HOWEVER, I wish I had talked my husband into going...instead of going with my friend. It got a little awkward....seeing as there were over 20 minutes of sex scenes. LOL It's so funny how I am with DH...as compared to my friends. I mean, we are both over 30 and I found myself squeamish watching it with her! LOL

MrsMB Thanks for the review! I do want to watch it, but it will be on dvd. I don't know what it would take to bribe my H to go with me. I didn't read the books, just the short preview posted on Amazon. I'm conflicted about the movie for various reasons - the abuse factor people keep talking about, the seeming lack of chemistry between the actors - but I want to see it for myself and form my own opinion.
grover and wanderingenough good luck with the house selling! (And hunting, but in my experience the selling part was much more stressful) I've been there recently, fx for a speedy sale!!

I hear great people live in IN.
I've worked it out in my head- I'd need to commute for 4 more school years to qualify for a $17k student loan forgiveness program then I can stop commuting. Are you close or far to the IL border near I80? Because that's where we'd have to be near in order for me to commute.
