We were in Reading for DDs robotics competition and it was so warm (at 36!) that I left my coat in the car. We're getting there, albeit slowly. Such beautiful sunshine, too. We passed through some flurries on the way down but no big deal.
RockNVoll, scm1011 - I promised an update, but it isn't great news. DDs team finished pretty close to the bottom and she's bummed. They have some coding and mechanical stuff to figure out before the next competition and are only allowed 6 hours in which to do so. DH has volunteered to learn the coding language for next year's robot and help them out (the kids do all the coding themselves) and hopefully that will help. We are very proud of her and, personally, I was a bit teary to see so many girls being a part of all these teams. Every team had at least 2 or 3 girls. A small percentage, but it's a start! This would have never happened when I was her age.
Aww, I'm sorry your DD is disappointed hulley, but you should both definitely feel proud! I love seeing girls take part in events like this. How sweet of your DH to offer to help them learn the coding from next time!
I was also loving the weather today! I ran a 15K in Lynn and it was fantastic to spend that time outside. I've been cooped up inside the gym for way too long.
So glad you got to run your race! What nice weather for it. Seeing runners outside is a sure sign of spring to come for me
