Sitting up

So K is 9 months old tomorrow and still doesn't sit up on her own. Like not even remotely close to it. When I try to put her in that position she stiffens her whole body and refuses. She will sit in bumbo for a little bit but doesn't like it. She does fine in high chair. She army crawls all over so I know she's not super delayed. Anyone else have this weird situation ? WWYD? Ill bring up at 9 month appt in a couple weeks but feel like I'm going to be in trouble or something.

Also when I prop her up using boppy she stiffens and throws herself back so she just ends up reclined on it...I'm at a loss

I think it just goes with the whole all kids are different. Both of my girls did things in what I thought were odd orders and didnt make sense. I would just keep working at it with her, she will discover how cool it is and the perks and do it all the time

all kids are different, but momma instincts are usually pretty good..definitely bring it up at the 9mo appt..if you don't think it's right, you can get evaluated for early intervention, etc.

I don't even know what to think at this point it just seems so bizarre. I'm trying to be patient but when I'm getting older one ready I want to plop her sitting up

Do you put anything in front of her to entice her to stay sitting up? B does this too sometimes (arches his back and stiffens when I try to sit him up), but if I put a toy or something he wants in front of him, he's way more likely to stay seated and lean forward to get the toy.

Yeah she doesn't seem to care what I put in front of her. Yesterday she did sit up for about 30 seconds on her own so I guess that's something I feel like she's too mobile now to want to just "sit" so that's not helping my cause. She's now pulling herself up to her knees and sometimes feet even to standing.

Yeah she doesn't seem to care what I put in front of her. it sounds like she might just not be interested..if she has an issue standing, then the ab/torso/core muscles would need to be looked at, but if she can stand, i wouldn't stress too much. but again, check with your ped just in case.
