It's a teacher development day so the kids don't have school. For the first time in forever I'm excited about them being home because we can get outside! We went on our first bike ride since December yesterday and it was heaven.

Oh nice! We haven't pulled out bikes because there is so much sand and still lots of ice patches on driveway to the condo but we played tag, basketball and kicked around a huge playground ball for a while this weekend too. . It was great!!
Have fun
Thanks, we will!! Our driveway is also still really icy but the roads were fine. The roads got pretty icy again overnight so we only will do a long walk today. Luckily our roads don't get much traffic so we can walk wherever.
Yes! I felt it yesterday for the first time. It was sunny, not-sub-arctic-feeling, and after a few minutes I realized I was walking with my coat unbuttoned and wasn't even feeling cold!
I am DYING to be able to walk out onto the back deck with just flip flops on instead of boots. I think I may be doing it soon, even though there will still be some snow left on the ground!
It feels like Spring here with rain in the forecast all week. But with temps in the 50s and 60s, I'll take it! It was gorgeous this weekend and there were birds everywhere.

LOL the snow on our back deck is still almost up to Joey's shoulders.
Yeah, the path that DH made in the backyard to get over to the natural gas shut-off for the bbq has piles next to it as tall as DS, too. But strangely, the snow on the wood deck is melting quickly? It gives me hope...
