In the article, the guy admits that he has no money and lives paycheck to paycheck. The writer's first comment at the bottom is heartbreaking. The guy doesn't have much money, and at times has even gone hungry to make sure his dog gets fed. However, when people started asking where they could send him some money to help out, he asked that people donate to their local food shelter in his dog's honor. Wow.
