Confession: I secretly love it when my coworker shows up obscenely late and someone comments on it. Our boss doesn't give a crap when we get here, but I take a little bit of pleasure in CW strolling in at, like, 9:45 and being bombarded by someone coming by and commenting on how they didn't know if she'd be in that day. She doesn't have a reason for coming in that late--she's just "not a morning person."
Disclaimers: She has no "normal" time for getting here, thus why I even pay attention... some days she's here at 8, some days 10. Never any email or call to say she's running late. So then people come by looking for her, and ask me when she'll be in... which of course I never know. And there have been a few times when she left on vacation and only told our boss. More than once I've gotten stuck with some urgent task that she led someone to believe she'd handle the next day, knowing damn well she'd be out the next day.

Vegas-That's encouraging! Travel time is something like 12 hours for us, so I'm mostly intimidated by the flight. I should just book it and take some Xanax.

Do we have the same CW? Mine has been getting away with all kinds of ridiculous shot for like 7 years, and my boss (who started 2 years ago) has FINALLY caught on and called her out on it this week. He actually wrote via email "I'm out of time or energy to solve problems that are not of my making." ziiiinnggg!
CloudBee, pump rental at my hospital was $50 a month. We did that for two months while i figured out how much pumping i wanted to do. I chose a manual Medela.
I skipped work for one final sick day today even though I could have gone in. I've got 11 weeks of sick time banked... so this takes me down to 10. I've never been sick a full week in the 5 years I've been there, and I'll still have some convincing scars on Monday so I doubt anyone cares about one more day.
But then Owen was Mr. Crankypants and I almost dreamed of work. Perhaps I'm not born to be a SAHM after all.
Vent: I had my consult w/ my RE today. He said that our only feasible option for pregnancy is IVF (or sperm donation, but H is not at all interested in this). Fuck. I don't think that we can afford more than 1 attempt (it will be entirely OOP). I hate that money has to be such a consideration in this and could potentially limit our ability to have a child. On top of everything, the RE that I met w/ today is moving out of state and the new one won't be starting until October. So we wait until then to even talk about how to proceed.

Pugs, your daughter is so cute. And I'm glad you have gotten to a better place with bf. It's tough and definitely ignore all the crazies.
Kara, I'm so sorry. We were told the same thing and my husband had about the same reaction. I hope you guys can figure out a way to make it work. Can you go on your husband's insurance (or switch to yours) for better coverage?
oh no I'm sorry Kara! Why did he say IVF is your only option? I may have missed something, but is clomid/femara or IUI not an option?
A combo of low sperm count, low motility, and poor morphology. H is going to see a urologist next week, but as it stands right now, the RE doesn't think that IUI is even an option w/ H's numbers.

I am going to research switching, but I don't think that either has coverage. So annoying and frustrating!
Pugz- toxic moms seem to infiltrate every new mommy group. Get yourself far away from this one, but if this is the only BFing group available to you and you get something else out of it, try to tune her out. You're going to have to tune out a lot of annoying people over the course of your child's lifetime. It sucks.
But beautiful pic! I, too, love the blocks.
Not much over here, just trying to do some work on a beautiful Saturday afternoon before DH leaves town.

This past week DH was out of town overnight for the first time since DD was born. I admit I was a little nervous about it, but overall it went alright. However it was exhausting. I am so thankful he does not travel often.
I'm excited for November. As in, can.not.stand.the.wait. I want to hold my baby in my arms already! I'm tired of my feet being so swollen and the heat taking so much out of me. Bleh. I don't remember being this impatient for DDs to come, lol.

Move to my city. The big bank that everyone here hates has unlimited IF coverage.
A girl I'm in a FB group with just posted this in the group, "If someone would please remove my name from the due date list; our little girl E J was still born this morning at 4 am." Her words exactly and people are liking the post. It bugs me to no end that they are liking that she just lost her child. I guarantee it's because stillborn is 2 words and not one and they aren't picking it up before liking the post.

That's awful. My heart breaks for the woman and her family. I cannot imagine what she is going through.
Kara, I'm sorry. I hope things work out for you. Big hugs.
