I sold a wrap on the buy and sell here and now the woman is returning it to me. It's not a big deal, she basically changed her mind and it was only around $30, but it has me a bit stressed about selling stuff. We are moving back and home and will be selling most of what is in our house in the next few months. It's going to be draining.
In the good news camp: found a sitter so I can go to the gym tomorrow morning. DH is away not back till midday tomorrow.
We are going to the zoo today with two friends, I'm nervous because DS was up early and I need him to stay awake until we leave and sleep on the 45 minute drive there. Fingers crossed!!
Oh I have a random question! For kids that are in sizes significantly bigger than their age, what brands do they wear? DS at 13 months is swimming in his 18 month Carter's pjs.
This weekend was supposed to be relaxing but we need to see H's grandpa who is pretty ill, go get bbq wood and deliver a fridge to his dad, and organize the house for M's party next weekend. I need to get some workouts in there too!
I think my family might be at the beginning of a Lifetime movie.
My aunt died in a bad accident 2 weeks ago. At her funeral one of the flower bouquets said "from your GEICO family". Odd, she's never worked for GEICO. My mom called yesterday and they told her that they always send flowers when an employee's relative dies. They said there is a girl working in a nearby town who is my aunt's GRANDDAUGHTER. What? No one has ever heard of this girl. Maybe it was a mistake. Or maybe we are about to discover some long ago buried family secret.

IMO it's pretty ballsy of her to try and return it. I would have just tried to re-sell for my own cost and say something like it didn't work out. I see that a lot on FB groups if they buy a size and realize it's too small.
After a crappy day yesterday I came in to the nicest voicemail from someone I really respect. It was definitely much needed.
I'm wearing a pinspiration today. I'm trying to refresh my wardrobe.
And finally, I heard one of the 50 Shades songs on the radio, You Earned by The Weekend. Whoah, that is a baby making song right there. It was a bit odd for 7:30 in the morning.

Or the girl lied to get the day off work?
Don't spoil the mystery!
Yeah this is a good possibility too. It's just more interesting to ponder skeletons in closets this morning.

In sitting at the gyn for a 8 am appointment. I rushed through daycare drop off to be here on time and they haven't even looked up to acknowledge that I'm here (the only one in the waiting room). Ugh.

Lane is at the verrrry end of his 18 mo. He mostly has carter's I think. My mom and sister buy most of his clothes (lol) and they shop mostly at Kohl's. I think he has some jumping bean too.

It's another nice day here!! We are meeting friends for a walk and then playground time, then lunch! I'm excited for L to get more time with other kids... he is slightly socially awkward. Haha. I do need to squeeze in a bunch of work before we leave for vacation on Sunday afternoon. Boo.
And we're having friends over on Sunday for an early St Patrick's Day dinner. It is DH's favorite holiday and he is the chef in our house, so he goes all out and it's delicious.
Also, we finally made a plan for moving DD into a "big girl room" and we need to get rid of a full size bed with trundle and get 2 new twins. We wanted the type that can be bunked or used individually, in a natural finish to match other furniture, and bonus for storage drawers. What we want is $1k new, but yesterday someone posted exactly what we want for $300 on craigslist. I will be seeing the set today or tomorrow and hopefully condition is good and we'll pick up next weekend! Now to sell the big bed currently in the room...
I'm wearing jeans today that haven't fit in 2 years. I'm pumped!
And I agree with everyone else on returns. This isn't walmart. I've Bought stuff on here that I ended up not liking or needing for whatever reason and just tried to resell it or donate it
Ooh there's a rumour that we might be able to buy beer and wine in grocery stores soon! This is huge.
I dream of the day we can do that here. The only place we can get beer in a grocery store is Wegmans, but forget wine. One can dream, I guess. I'm excited for you and will live vicariously through you.
DD and I were all ready to go to school and daycare today. Dogs were crated, car was started, lunch packed and as we were putting on our shoes she had explosive diarrhea that required a change of clothes.
So I just put in for a sub. At 7am when they're supposed to report at 8am and it's the day before spring break. Ugh, this is horrible.
My dog licks my feet on occasion, and N recently decided that he was going to do the same thing. Whyyyy. O takes a lick and then N speeds over and does the same. Gross. They also shared an ice cube the other day. O crunched it into small pieces and N snatched a piece from the floor and chewed it. Don't kids with dogs have better immunity or something...? At this rate, I have a furry vaccine trotting around my house. Ew.
My mom is watching N for me today while I work and she has to go pick up my brother from college for his spring break, so she'll be taking N with her for a little road trip (about 3 hours round trip). I'm irrationally nervous about this and feel so anxious. We went with her last week to pick up my sister from the airport and do some shopping on a similarly long trip, she drove, everything was totally fine, so I have no reason to be nervous. I feel like if I'm with N, then I can protect him from an accident or something, which is not true at all. I trust my mom completely to be a safe driver and care for him probably even better than I do (#moty), and I know how to install his car seat properly in her car. I have this fear constantly even with my H taking him somewhere and usually end up going along even when I don't want to because I think it will somehow keep both of them safe. I have a doctor's appointment this morning and I'm thinking about mentioning this and asking if it's normal. I felt similarly anxious even before N was born when my H would go on business trips so it's not something super new. Ugh.
I spent most of the night sleeping on the recliner in DD's room with her on me. I haven't slept in her room in over a year. But I'm trying to figure out what's wrong this week, all week she hasn't wanted to go to bed and has been desperate to leave her room. I think escaping her crib was a symptom of not wanting to be left alone. I skimmed quickly through the limit setting and fears chapters in Ferber, and I'm not sure whether she's afraid or just testing us. But she woke up screaming at midnight, and she sounded so pathetic and possibly scared that I went in to keep her company and ended up staying. I wish she were old enough to tell us what she's afraid of.

H's birthday was yesterday. He requested this cake which I am making for tonight. holy hell it has a pound of butter, 2 pounds of chocolate and 8 eggs and that's just the brownie layers. the filling and icing are just as bad. and yet I am sure I will eat it tonight and for breakfast tomorrow and sneak pieces until it's gone.

Are you newbie or an oldie with a new s/n? Because I'm a huge 90210 nerd.
I dressed the kids in st pattys day outfits today because I feel like they should be worn more than once lol
I'm home with the kids on Fridays and DD is already begging to go somewhere. She doesn't specify where she just wants to get out of the house. It might be a long day...

Today DS' class is having Pi Day Party at school. I don't think I can make it because it is at 3:30 and I am using all my leave for vacation next week, so I feel bad. Parents were asked to bring a small pie if they go to the party, since I wasn't going to the party I wasn't bringing pie. This morning as we were getting out of the car DS informs me that all the parents MUST bring pie and then proceeded to lecture me about how it is my job as a parent to bring pie. So I guess I need to get pie at lunch. I feel bad about not going to the party though, this is the first event I will miss
Also, this is my AW moment. Since it is Pi week at school, DS' teacher has been teaching them basic math (up to 5+5) and last night DS was running his addition tables with me. His teacher taught him how to count on his fingers to do math, and I am so very proud of him! He absolutely loves math and has me quiz him all the time and finds way to do math in basic every day life (like talking about how he has 4 peas, if he eats one he will have 3). I was never good at math (or interested in it really) so I am just happy it is coming naturally to him so far.
Thomas Jefferson here we come (I assume NOVA locals will know that I am talking about) ha ha.
