People who don't take responsibility for their children in public...
Yesterday my friend was at Dollar Tree with her daughter. They were standing in the aisle and this kid was ripping around the store with a shopping cart and his mother was paying no attention. The kid plows my friend's 2 year old over with a shopping cart and she smashed her head off the concrete. The mom tells her kid to say sorry which he does with that little shit eater attitude. Then my friend's daughter throws up, the other moms rags her son out as fast as possible, and the employee in the next aisle asks if they need an ambulance. My friend declines as she thought she just threw up from being worked up. Later she called me to tell me what was going on and she had a serious concussion from what I could tell but I had her go to the ER just in case.head injuries make me effing nervous cause I've seen little bumps go really bad in adults before and I'm not super familiar with them in kids. Anyway it's just a bad concussion like I suspected but damn. I'm really mad that mom just ran away from a situation caused by her negligence. It irks me when people just let their kids run around like crazy in stores. It's dangerous for their kid too.
On the funny side they asked if last night if she wanted her new friend the babysitter to come over tonight and she said she'd rather have me come over. Weird cause kids usually hate me.

I like to let my kid have freedom but I just can't do it when we're shopping. Every time someone comments on how comfy my son seems in the Tula I tell them I wish I could put him in a cart but he would climb out or grab things as we went along.
I'd be horrified if later on my kid ran a much younger kid over like that. Especially since right now he's at that age where other kids run my kid over constantly so I'm always looking out for older kids running around any time I let him down on the ground.
I have one. People that give the gate guards a hard time at the gate. Here at Bliss, things are changing. They are requiring ID's from every person (of age) in the car. Yes, it takes a minute longer, but it is for safety. These are the same people that would be the first to complain if something happened here that was dangerous. Ugh.
I'm not mad per se, but my unit has a longer than usual MUTA this drill. Except the majority of them are in school today. So I had to show up at 0800 today and then sit and do absolutely nothing until 1800 when everyone else arrived. Luckily I brought a book. They could've just waved me off but there I sat.
