This morning a student told me about an article his mom had read that was related to a class discussion. I asked him to email it to me. Instead he had his mom email. In the email she commented that he was very interested in our current unit and that he was talking about it at the dinner table. She even thanked me for making it interesting for them. I almost cried. That's probably the nicest compliment a teacher can get.
That fact that it's Friday is making me feel good today! I had several days this week of being on campus well past 5pm so I'm ready for some weekend down time. I can't tell you how behind I am on so many of my shows.
Next up is getting drinks after work with some co-workers and getting my hair done tomorrow.
Thank goodness it is Friday! Happy Friday the 13th!
Yeah, I'm just happy the weekend is almost here. We've been way too busy lately and this weekend is relatively quiet. H has to work tomorrow night which sucks, but it should be a quiet day for me.
We were going to do another restauarant week dinner tonight, but I've been sick all week and he's had to work overtime, so we're both just exhausted. So we canceled the reservation and instead we're staying in, making an easy dinner, catching up on the DVR and eating ice cream. I'm SO excited for this, it is almost ridiculous.
Sunday we have our second childbirth class. Hopefully this one isn't too scary.

Happy weekend! I'm currently getting a birthday pedicure. I just went to the mall and sipped a coffee instead of having to gulp as I usually do with the kiddo.
Dinner tonight with friends and donut breakfast tomorrow with my Sil. I'm feeling very spoiled this year. It makes my new age easier to deal with!
noodleoo, we had a fantastic birth experience and I'm happy to share any info you might want. The classes can be overwhelming!

Thx! I'd love any advice you have to share! Did you do the drugs? I'm having mixed emotions about what I want. And my moms 35 year old advice of "whatever you do, don't get and epidural!!!" Is not helping.

Ha, I keep telling my husband I would be ok with the Betty Draper style, "you get knocked out, wake up, and there's a baby" style of delivery. So yeah, I will be taking all of the drugs they offer.

RockNVoll, I am thinking great sale vibes. I'm sure once the weather turns a bit, it will go fast. The lack of showings is disappointing, but it only takes one person to love it. Fingers crossed.
