Day 15! Feeling good, past the "digestive problems" hump (things moving too slow, not too fast...)
I had/have an ear and sinus infection, so that's stupendous. Lots of bone broth and tea over the weekend.
Close couple friends invited us over for dinner. They know I'm doing W30 and wanted to make something I "could have." I said it's really pretty simple, and that basically meat + vegetables works. Cue email back with a link to a recipe centered around lentils. Sent a few example recipes (several of which were just from Food & Wine and the like--things that happen to be compliant). Said I'm just avoiding dairy, added sugar, grains, legumes (including soy), and alcohol. They decided to make larb (Laotian ground meat lettuce wraps). Great! Except they didn't have fish sauce, so they used oyster sauce for the meat (corn syrup and all), and then the roasted broccoli on the side was drenched in soy sauce. I was polite, went ahead and ate it without saying a word, of course, because they tried, but there's part of me (that should be flamed) thinking, "Really?"
