We started transitioning DD to WCM when she was about a year old. I first tried putting it in a cup, but she wouldn't take it at all, despite the fact that she does great with water in a cup. So, I put some in a bottle, and eventually she was taking 8 ounces in the morning, and 8 at night. She was happy, we were happy, so she got the bottles until her 18 month doctor appointment where I got the "she's too old for bottles" lecture. I've tried going cold turkey, she hasn't had a bottle in weeks, but she just will not drink milk out of a cup. She's gone from drinking 16 ounces a day, to 1 or 2 ounces maximum, most days none.
So, my question is, how hard should I be trying to get her to drink milk? She eats tons of cheese and yogurt. My next step is to buy a bunch of different cups (we have 3 kinds now: Playtex straw cup, Foogo, and a Nuby sippy which seems close to a bottle to me). How much time/money would you put into trying to get her to drink milk? Anybody have a suggestion for a cup that magically got their kid to drink milk?
I wouldn't worry. Offer it and then see what she does. It is an it is what it is sort of situation. DD was like this. Then she hit 2 and wanted it all the time. Now at 3.5 she's pretty normal in the milk consumption.

I wouldn't worry that much.
The only cup that my kid drinks milk out of are the Take and Toss sippy cups and I think it was just a fluke. He didn't drink milk for awhile and now only drinks it at bedtime.

DS has never drank WCM. He eats a ton of yogurt and cheese, and our pedi isn't concerned. As long as he drinks water and eats the right foods I don't worry about it.
