Normally I figure 4-5 slices of pizza per adult, 2-3 per child but with the extra stuff you have I'd probably scale it back to more like 3-4 per adult, and 2 per child. Assuming you have some drinks lined up, I think you're good!
Yes, I would open gifts at the party. I'm always a bit bummed when gifts aren't opened, actually; I like to see the reaction to what I got them.

How small are your pizzas?
I'd do 8 or 9 pizzas since you have a decent amount of other stuff. I think most kids eat less than 2 full slices - usually here they're cut in half again, so 16 slices, as opposed to square.

Well we have water, soda. Lemonade and juice boxes lined up
Yeah, last year he didn't get the whole gift thing so I will try to work it in after cake!! I always like seeing the gifts too!
Oh and playing it by ear is fine w/ presents - but if it's family they will probably want to see gifts open. I often let kids open gifts from grand parents & aunts & uncles as the guests arrive. I know that's a bit unorthodox but it's worked well for us. NOT if it's a friend party, family.

Well the place we like has pizza jumbos which are like 10-12 slices but we were thinking of doing larges instead.

Yeah see ours is almost all friends which is why I gave it a second thought.
By the sound of it, OP is inviting people for dinner. If I'm eating pizza for dinner I will easily eat 4 pieces, DH will easily have 5, that's why I say 4-5 per person.
I never want to run out of food, though, so I always err on getting more. But with all the other stuff she has, I'd still think 4-5 pcs. per person is safe.
Seriously if I went to Party with ONE slice per person I would automatically assume the hosts were cheap asses.
I've never done a pizza party before, but I'm assuming they don't hand you a number with your assigned amount of pizza allowed on it. I would think it would be pizza on a table with all of the other food and people went through and just made plates. Aren't their six slices in a pizza? So basically adults get a WHOLE pizza? That's crazy.
No each pizza has more than 6 slices have you seriously never had pizza?
Don't get me wrong, I think 1 slice is not enough. But 4 slices of pizza? That's why I asked how big the pizzas were. I am not a light eater by any means. I just don't know anyone who would be eating 4-5 slices of pizza at a birthday party. Seriously, how big of a pizza are we talking about?

I bet three for adults would be plenty and one or two for kids? Plus there's all the other food being served. So maybe you could get away with less? Also depends on if the host wants leftovers. I love me some party leftovers the next day! Hosting is exhausting.

This. I am thinking a standard size pizza -- that is like 16 inches right? One per family of four.
I would live on pizza -- four slices is a damn half a pizza.
We are just getting to need 2 now that Jack is eating and he's a piggy. The girls are hit and miss but can eat 2 slices on the right day, usually 1-1.5. I eat 2-3 depending. I'd have to be drunk or something to eat 4.

When I was in college I dated a guy on the football team. His teammates, their gfs and I would do the all you can eat pizza nights. I ate 10 slices once. I would typically eat more than every guy. I was 125lbs at the time-most people swore I had a tapeworm. To be able to eat like that again and not gain weight...
