When H and I were LD I would leave the computer on so I could wake up to any IMs he sent (different continents).

My little one used to leave him very very long IMs and manage to hit enter. After the first several lines he figured out what was up so instead of waking up to "I love you" I used to get "Tell Bella I miss her snuggles too"
