Update on the buying a house

So we decided that people around here are nuts. We put in 2 offers and both wanted full asking price. We didn't think either house was worth that. So we decided to build a house on some land my dad owns in the town we most wanted to live in. I'll post pics soon. It has some awesome views. We are excited. They started beginning of May and already have the first floor and garage framed out.

Oh yay - congrats! I can't believe those people wouldn't budge at all. Although someone posted on MM that their house sold for 25k over asking price. Say whaaaat???

I know DL but that is not happening in this area. One house we offered on was on the market since June 2011!! Um no lady it should be obvious no one wants to pay your full asking price. INSANE.

I really am! I'm a little nervous about having to pick colors and stuff because OMG what if they don't look ok??? You can't exactly replace the siding if you get the color wrong lolol.

How long will it take to construct? How cool that you get to customize it to what you want!

I have been, I just haven't downloaded the pics yet. You know me, the ultimate in lazy.
