I made some chili last night and apparently the jalapeno I got was the hottest jalapeno known to man. I still have heartburn.
R is going out of town in two weeks and I'm so excited and making ALL THE PLANS for while he's out. Anyone want to come for a sleepover and some forced labor? LOL
I was so proud of myself for getting caught up with the laundry last night (NOTHING in the dirty basket!) and then I come home from swimming this morning and discover an entire basket of clothes I missed. FML.

I have 6 loads of laundry to fold at home. Actually, more like 8 because now that the washer is fixed, I can wash oversized loads again.
I have work worries again about coming back to work to face a RIF. It took me almost 4 years to find this job while I worked something completely unrelated and I can't just go back to that because my license lapsed in August. This isn't helping my ability to focus on work.

I'll post another laundry one - I love that I can do all of DS's laundry in a single load w/room for other stuff. But when it's time to fold it takes FOREVER (all those tiny pants, socks, etc.)
DH keeps exclaiming that "finishing work" is a misnomer b/c the finishing work on the wainscoting is taking forever (a fun observation since I'm the one doing all the work).
My husband doesn't understand why I want to do all this work on our "new" house . It is 10 years old and is cookie cutter without any charm. I just want to upgrade it a little bit. He didn't understand why I wanted to re hang the bathroom mirrors without the clips all around it. Well the mirrors have a nice beveled edge and no clips makes me happy so let's just do it. Spoiler alert - we did hang them my way. I just wish we could skip him questioning me why I have to change things and just listen when I say I research the crap out of everything before I do it so it will work the way I want it. whew ranted a little there sorry!
I got an email from my former business partner today, catching me up on stuff, and she said that she drove by my old house.
She said they repainted the exterior and now it is muddy gray with a dull brown trim. She hated it, and said it was drab. Everyone had been switching from the original color to pretty much the new owner's color scheme. That means that they took my colorful home with a pretty blue door, that everyone (from all the neighbors to the pizza delivery guy and even the Jehovah's Witnesses) complimented every time they saw us, and turned it back into a cookie cutter home. I had guessed that it would be changed, since it really was "me", but I was hoping that whoever bought it would see that it was nice to have a home that wasn't exactly the same color as everyone else, and would choose a paint color that was at least a little individual.
DH said "Good...they are making it their own.", and I said 'No....painting it the same boring color as everyone else is not making it their own. There are a lot of other neutrals that they could have chosen that could have at least made it look like they weren't boring copycats." lol
I guess they liked the landscaping that was done before we sold (I didn't, and it was what made it really easy for me to walk away and not look back-lol), because that looks the same and has been kept up nicely, according to former business partner.

Ugh DH lost his wedding ring at work...I sure hope it turns up. We have insurance on it but I don't wanna mess with it and getting a new one. I'm not even sure how to get a new one his is custom.
