DH and I, along with our almost 1 year old DS, will be going to OCMD over Labor Day weekend. We have never been so I am looking for baby/kid friendly dining suggestions - especially seafood restaurants.
We are staying at the Princess Royale Oceanside if that is any help.
Phillips is an OC institution, if you want a seafood buffet.
Fager's Island is really nice - they have a great view of the sunset over the bay. The bar side and restaurant sides are separate (although both have table seating); you could stick to the bar side if you're concerned about the kids being rowdy, although we have been to the restaurant side with my nieces and nephews before.
One of my favorite restaurants for brunch or lunch is the Bayside Skillet - they have awesome crepes and omelettes. It's a bright pink building, you can't miss it.

We go that weekend every year. Phillips and embers are buffets ( lots of crab ) but can be expensive. Jonah and the Whale is also a buffet but not that great. Halls is a buffet ( we've only been there for breakfast) and its so so. Bayside skillet is really good and a bit on the cheaper side.
pretty much everywhere in OCMD is kid friendly with the exception of like 3 restaurants. i just returned from my 32nd trip yesterday. Fish Tales, Dead Freddies, Mackey's, Dough Roller, Thrasher's for their awesome fries, Bull on the Beach, Coins. Keep in mind that everywhere in OC will have a pretty decent wait for a table (45 mins+). If you like Mexican, La Haceinda is near your hotel. Definitely check out Fish Tales or Dead Freddies with a little one.
Phillips is definitely an institution in OCMD but the food and quality has declined over the years since they've become so big which is evident by their half full restaurant. I'd personally skip it. Definitely a big NO to Jonah and the Whale.

I hate the buffets...I've tried them all. Not the way to go (though I did heart phillips for a while).
So Fractured Prune has awesome doughnuts for breakfast. Generals Kitchen has a good breakfast but it's small and usually a wait. Bayside skillet and Sahara Cafe good breakfast.
Lunch, Anthony's Deli and Crazy 8's has good sandwiches...Big Peckers is a good lunch place as is getting chicken from English's or pizza from Pizza Tugo's.
Dinner...Bull on the Beach (right near you) is awesome, very fast service, casual, family friendly. Tequila Mockingbird up around 130th streett is awesome. BJ's north has great seafood and is on 79th. We also love JR's Ribs. Dead Freddies is awesome but I don't love some of the other recommendations suchs as Dough Roller, La Hacienda, and Coins
When you hit the boardwalk...get a kosher hot dog from the Atlantic Stand and fries from Thrashers and popcorn from Fishers
