First, we confirmed that our insurance covers basically everything. I had already looked into it, but it was nice to hear it again. We are so incredibly grateful for this.
Second, the dr. said "they" (experts, I guess?) no longer believe that endometriosis causes IF. Which makes me so curious. Like, is this a recent discovery? Because as recently as 2011, I had a laparoscopy to treat the endo because I still wasn't pg. Also, there are still a lot of resources out there that list endo as a cause of IF. But I guess the good news is that I won't need another lap.
H and I are going for our regular bloodwork this week. He goes in for a semen analysis 4/13, and I should be getting my period around that time, so I'll also go in for my day 3 bloodwork and then an HSG a few days later. And then we basically begin with IUIs immediately.
So, whoa, the treatment will begin a lot sooner than I expected, but also, yay!

Woot!!!
That is strange -- I don't know much about this stuff but I def thought endo was a factor in IF. That's GOOD though, one less thing to go through for you!

I know! I've had two laps, by two different doctors, to get rid of the endo so I could get pg.
Congrats on a good appointment and good luck! The RE that did my laparotomy lovingly described my organs as looking like they were "stuck together with a shag rug" thanks to endo. I don't see how that could possibly NOT be a contributing factor to my IF.

Mine thought it was stopping implantation (multiple miscarriages). I'm glad you had a good appointment and it's great that insurance will cover. Good luck!!!
