I love my Tarte mattes from the Bon Voyage palette. The shimmers are hit or miss. (All the browns are great, but the silvers are meh.)
Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Semisweet are my go-tos. I love the formula and the colors.
I really like UD Ammo and don't have the fallout problem others have had. The texture is great for packing on with a small brush (the one included is actually really good.) I can see trying to blend with a fluffy brush becoming a big mess.
The only palette I've had to abandon is UD Vice 3. I'm allergic to it, and it's not worth a week of crusty, peeling eyelids even for the gorgeous colors. It's very powdery, but not unmanageable.

ChillyMcFreeze I'm sorry you had a reaction to Vice 3.. before that though! Lol. How were the colors once you got them on your face? I am DYING for that palette, absolutely dying. It looks so beautiful but I haven't gotten to play with it in person.

And I love almost everything UD, but their primer just doesn't work for me. Too Faced is my jam, though the SB sample I got was amazing too. For single shadows I'm a fan of UD, TF. I have old MAC shadows that are fantastic quality but they aren't a cruelty free brand and I've switched over so no new products from them for me. Boo.

I have it and really like it, but I feel like that's a minority opinion.

They're gorgeous! I especially love the reds and the neutrals on the right side. It's is really, really gorgeous once you figure out how to use it.

That's exactly why it appealed to me. I swatched it on my skin, but that didn't give me enough insight. I feel like those red tones could be a beautiful pop of color when they're done correctly.

It's a worthwhile buy if you like fun colors. I'm still mourning mine.
Let's talk shadows. I have two big palettes (Chocolate Bar and Naked3). I like them both quite a bit. However, I want to beef up my collection with some single colors.
Color Pop is my favorite brand for singles, hands down. Their shadow formula is the only one I can wear all day without worrying about primer. And I haven't noticed the problems others have had with blending them, although I'm no master blender anyway. LOL
With Geek Chic, the colors are gorgeous, especially if you are not averse to GLITTER. OMG the glitter. Did I mention they have a lot of glitter, because yeah, they have a lot of glitter. LOL I find I wear these mostly on the weekends because the crazy colors plus all the sparkle aren't exactly 9-5 appropriate. The great thing with this company is that you can buy samples for like a buck a piece, and they give you enough product in the samples to use it at least several times. So if you are unsure about a color or know you LURVE it but know you wouldn't wear it very often, buy the sample!!!

I don't really have a favorite brand, I don't think. I'm not even sure I have a favorite palette. I covet all of my palettes for different reasons. Kind of like children. LOL #palettehoarder
I personally LURVE my Vice 3. It's soooo pretty. OH, and I have only had it like three days, but I just recently received my Coastal Scents Revealed 2. LOVE!!!!!
One brand that hasn't been mentioned yet for eyeshadow is Smashbox. I have three palettes and this a small 5-color thing that I'm not sure if I'd call a palette. Of the four, only one is just so-so. In general, the shadows are a little softer and more powdery than a lot of lines, but they seem to blend amazingly well, and pigmentation and wear time is fantastic.

Since I'm one of the ones complaining about the blendability of ColourPop, I will say that I have no problem admitting I'm a blending bully.* A couple weeks ago I asked a sales clerk in the makeup department in Macy's where to find something and was so distracted by the harsh line between her outer V and the rest of her shadow that I didn't hear what she said. BLEND THAT SHIT!! LOL
*I heard this term in a tutorial and adopted it as my own.
