I hate mapmyrun! It always runs about .25 miles long. Is runkeeper any better? I have a garmin, but sometimes I like to go watchless, but I like having the app tell me my splits.
Try Strava! I have friends who use that + Garmin, and say it's the most accurate of any app. I only use it to sync with Garmin Connect, and not to actually track runs, so I don't have firsthand experience with that part, but it's a fun app regardless.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Run Keeper is pretty accurate for me. I almost always run on a track that is marked as being 2.7k around and each lap is within 0.01 of 2.7k. It is between tall buildings and is tree lined.
My Garmin is way off compared to the Run Keeper when I run on the same track.
