Very tempted to go try one later today.
Happy Birthday, Frap. You are now old enough to know better but still young enough not to care.
So what are you doing to celebrate? Any big plans?
Ah, Starbucks is offering a limited-time Birthday Cake Frappuccino from March 26-30 for customers.
How decent of you, giving back to your fans for about 85 hours.
The drink is a vanilla bean and hazelnut beverage topped with raspberry-infused whipped cream, the company says.
The Frap launched in 1995.
Fast forward 20 years, and the Starbucks Frappuccino is offered at locations in the United States and Canada, with flavors including cinnamon dolce, caramel flan, green tea, tiramisu and vanilla bean.
"When you think about it, 20 years ago, the business, Starbucks hadn't launched into a whole host of warm weather markets. We were reliant on the holiday season," said Dina Campion, a 20-year employee of the coffee giant, in a statement. "With Frappuccino, we were able to level out the dips in store traffic in the summer."
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said in his book that they "were so confident of our product that we didn't even test-market it."
That was a bit risky. But it seems to have worked out just fine.
Yum!! Vanilla bean frap is my "let's be honest this is really a milkshake but it looks more legit because its STARBUCKS" drink. I only get them a few times a year and they are so YUMS!

OMG, I must have this. I love birthday cake everything, and frappachinos!! I will have to find my way to a starbucks today. I hope it is wildly popular and becomes a staple!
Hmm I am a sucker for anything cake flavored, but I'm not sure how that will actually taste. If someone tries it, please report back and let me know if it actually tastes like birthday cake.
Some people advertise this sort of thing and then they drop the ball and sell crap disguised as "birthday cake". I'm looking at you, Oreos.
Hmmm, it was a little less sweet than I expected with the name birthday cake, so maybe not just like birthday cake taste. But it was delicious and I would buy it again.
And I agree with you on the oreos, I was so dissappointed! I hope the cotton candy oreos are more authentic when they come out.
I tried a sample yesterday and it was good! It didn't taste like birthday cake at all to me, but the raspberry was super yummy.
Now I really want one! Why is the starbucks so farrrr away at home I should have gotten one yesterday while in the office. DRAT.
Get one over the weekend. The Raspberry Whipped cream is the best part. The frappuccino is pretty good especially if you want something cold and sweet but you aren't in the mood for coffee. I want to go back this weekend and get a Mocha frap with a few pumps of raspberry syrup and have it topped with the raspberry whipped cream.
I got one yesterday. I found the frap part gross. I would have preferred a vanilla frap with the raspberry whipped cream. I ended up eating the raspberry whipped cream off the top and threw most of mine away.
I had one yesterday too. It was - ok. I was really surprised how expensive a small one was (tall? You can tell I rarely go to Starbucks lol). Over $4 for that? Yikes.
I thought it was tasty but didn't taste much like birthday cake - it was more vanilla to me. I don't regret trying it but I won't be rushing out to get another one.

I found the hazelnut to just be overpowering in mine. I order the vanilla sometimes in the summer so I like the vanilla on its own.
I got two grandes (medium) and the total was like $9ish.

Did they overcharge me? lol. I think mine was like $4.35 or something and I stupidly asked for a "small". It was definitely small. Boo! So expensive.
I tried to get one the other day, against my better judgement. The barista made a cream-based frap, put in 3 pumps of hazelnut and 1 pump of raspberry. ^o) So I didn't actually get the one advertised and it was not good at all.
The whip is just heavy cream with raspberry syrup instead of vanilla syrup, which is fine, but obviously not innovative. You can get a vanilla bean-hazelnut cream frappuccino anytime, but I doubt Starbucks will make you the raspberry whip for just one drink in the future (the whip cannisters hold quite a few servings), so while not life changing, it is indeed a limited time item.

I love the birthday cake pops so I thought this would be good! I didn't like it at all and neither did my two kids. We actually ended up tossing it. Good thing I only bought one for us to try, they are expensive!
I got one yesterday as my freebie from my card. I thought it was ok, a bit too sweet. I am weird though, I just like an unadorned coffee frappuchino. Didn't like the whipped cream, it was also too sweet for me.
I don't think I had any pumps of raspberry syrup in mine. If I did, I couldn't taste it. It was just overwhelming hazelnut. GAG.
It's not supposed to! Lol. It's supposed to be vanilla bean and hazelnut. Which sounds good to me. In fact, I got a soy latte today with 1 pump vanilla and 3 pumps hazelnut. Raspberry and hazelnut is not so great, though.
