replacements dot com! I've bought wine glasses from them before. They have TONS of stuff, and I'd bet real GBCN dollars that they have your pattern.
they do! nice! some of them are very reasonable, but some are crazy expensive. one of the serving bowls for one bowl is $110. and the gravy boat I want is $34.
I don't know where you are, but they have an actual store that you can go to, near Greensboro NC. It's pretty incredible to walk around in. Prices may be a little better in person, you never know!
I've had mine for over 10 years, and I'm tired of them, but I feel guilty just getting rid of them. Help me not feel bad.
I got "new" ones when H and I got married...they were badass antique handmedowns from his Aunt Addie that I've fleshed out over the years. I doubt I'll ever replace them. They're amazing.
If you don't love yours, get new ones. Ten years is long enough if you're tired of them. I love the idea of donating them to someone who needs them - homeless shelter, DV shelter, etc.
We have a set we bought when we moved into our apartment 8 years ago. It's cream coloured with deep reds, browns, navy and olive green patterning around the edge. We picked up a full set of 12 + serving pieces.
It matched our cream and brown carpeted apartment perfectly but now I hate them. Of course there is not a chip or scratch on a single piece.
We just redid our kitchen last year and everything is bright white and gray. I really want Fiesta ware but DH thinks it's too heavy. He likes bone china. My plan is to wait until my little sister moves in with her boyfriend (within the next year) and to pass them along to her. His place is all tan neutrals and his kitchen is wood and cream so they will look good. I will then gleefully spend go to Mikasa and pick out something new and brigher.
Ours are 18 and 19 years old. We each got a set when we went to college, and he was a year ahead of me. Mine are Corelle and his are plain glass from Crate and Barrel. They work great and I like the plain glass, so until we break enough of them that we have to buy new ones, we'll keep using them.

We still have the set we received as a wedding gift 12 years ago. I am over them but they weren't cheap and are still in good shape so I will have them for awhile longer.
I did add a 4 place set from target that I found on clearance, but they chip so easily. I don't use them often.
I once got a nasty email from a blog reader saying how ugly they were and that I should invest in new dishes. She called the volleyball plates. LOL. I still wonder who takes the time to email someone about their dish choice.

huh. That is really, really strange. I had to click through your blog to see what they looked like. They look nice. That seems a bit unbalanced of that reader.
I've had mine for 13 years and they keep cracking. We were at 12 plates, but I think we're down to 8 now. DH wants new (as do I), but we both want Fiestaware which seems pricey!

We got new dishes for our 10 year anniversary. The old ones from our wedding were so cute but yeah, Pottery Barn dishes chip like crazy. New ones are Crate and Barrell.

I think DH has had these since he and his XW divorced, so he's had them over 10 years. We've been living together for just over 7 years, and I can't say I have any complaints about them. Most of my stuff was thrift-store pick ups, so a lot of mis-matched and sets of 3, which I was not unhappy to put into storage. We just replaced all of our cookware and Rubbermaid food storage stuff, so I think we're set on the kitchen stuff for a while.
Same set from when we got married almost 10 years ago - a plain white Crate and Barrel set, I still like them and haven't chipped them significantly to warrant a new set.

We got ours for our wedding, so they're about 11. I would have never thought about replacing them until I *needed* to. This board is always costing me money.

We've replaced ours twice in the past five years- we had old dishes that we replaced with a nice glass set we received as a wedding gift, then MIL bought us a new set for no reason a couple Christmases ago. I HATE them, but our sink is a dish-killer and we'd lost a few of the glass ones so we're using the ugly ones. Of course a few of them have broken already as well. I have a couple sets in storage- one is very old, but one is a Currier & Ives set that I really want to use. I'm just biding my time, because I don't want H thinking I'm disrespecting his mother or something by getting rid of the terrible dishes we never asked for. :/
We bypassed registering for everyday dishes. My stepmom gave me her old set of earthware dishes she got when she lived in Germany. They're awesome and are pretty much indestructible.
Mine are Villeroy and Boch, and seem to be nearly indestructible. I think in 10 years I've only broken one plate and one bowl. They're white, with a ring of different colored squares around the edge, and I still love them. I use cloth napkins, and while I change out my napkin colors all the time, they still match the dishes for every season.
Where do you get your napkins and how many do you have? I like the idea of switching to cloth, but am not interested in high-maintenance napkins!

I have these in 4 colors - 12 each of yellow, light green, red, and the dark purple/wine color. Have a different brand of hemstitched napkins that I don't like as much because they became mis-shapen (misshaped? lol, I don't know) after I put them in the dryer, and the hemstitching is a pain when you go to fold them.
I usually have 24 out at a time for the 4 of us, but could get away with 12-18 if i was better at keeping up with laundry. I just put the used ones straight into the washer (after I brush/rinse off any big food pieces, obviously) and run them with whatever load happens to come through next. WARNING - only do that after you've washed them a few times on their own - they come with a lot of dye, and I turned a load of laundry a lovely shade of pee yellow when I hadn't washed my yellow ones enough. oops!
The ones I linked hold up really well, and although they're all cotton, don't come out a rumpled wadded up mess. They aren't perfect and guest ready, but they also aren't my nice guest napkins, kwim? The edges wrinkle a bit, but not enough to make me want to iron them. Some of the yellow ones have a few light stains from avocado or spaghetti, but I didn't do anything to pretreat, and they're yellow, so the stains aren't really obvious. And they're washed so often, the stains fade fast.

We got new ones last year, after 9 years of use. Ours were dark blue earthenware-type stuff from Target that we'd registered for when we got married.
They held up pretty well, but we did lose a few plates and bowls to breaking or splitting in the microwave over those years. Eventually that and the fact that I was tired of them pushed us to get new ones. This time I got plain white stuff from Crate & Barrel.
We have one plain white set from IKEA (well most of one set since we have broken several of the little plates and bowls) and I am ready to replace it with something else.
We have a couple other sets (our fine china -Waterford Ballet Ribbon, our fancier every day china -White Pearl from C&B, and a set of clear pebbled glass ones from C&B) but they don't go in the microwave so I need to get something inexpensive that can take abuse. Will likely end up with white Correlle.
