I need snack ideas. I'm on Steroids right now and the need to snack is strong, but I don't want to undo all the hardwork I've put in to lose 20lbs over the last 2+ months.
B: 2 eggs scrambled, cooked in evoo, topped w/ salsa and fresh cilantro, hot tea w/ honey L: coconut rice with steamed shrimp and snow peas tossed in Sriracha D: I have no plan, maybe Salisbury Steaks since I never made them the other day
Friendly suggestion: While you're on steroids, it may be helpful to increase your protein intake to help with satiety.

I'm not sure how much more protein I can get in! LOL That is the main focus of every meal/snack that I already eat, which is great, and I'm normally not hungry between meals. Breakfast is almost eggs cooked in some good fat, lunch (with the exception of today) is usually protein and veggies, dinner is usually protein and veggies occasionally w/ some potatoes or rice. And if I have a snack, it's usually just a few pieces of meat. This week I'm snacking on Coconut yogurt with cut up fruit trying to get in some additional probiotics because the meds that I'm on is seriously messing up inards.
Maybe just add in some sausage or ground meat with breakfast then? Otherwise, sounds good!
OMGaaaaah I have PMS like mad. The carb cravings came on strong yesterday, and honestly, I gave in and had some (organic, fair-trade, but still added sugar) dark chocolate. I feel bad for giving in on day 24, but I'm also not going to restart. So there's my confession. I also had half a sweet potato with dinner, which definitely did make me feel a bit better. Honestly, of all the "cheats," I think dark chocolate isn't too bad. But I know it's still non-compliant.
I'm back on the wagon today. Breakfast was the usual three-egg omelette stuffed with greens. Brought a baggy of one serving each cashews and coconut flakes to (hopefully) curb further cravings, if needed. Lunch is TBD--probably a salad with lots of protein and fat.
