I'm not sure what to advise. I don't think those are terrible, but I don't think they are as appealing as Joyful Ink. I hope you can reopen shop and that it is therapeutic for you.

I agree with that. I do like the original name. I'm just not exactly joyful right now.
I know, and I'm sorry. I hope that joy comes back into your life soon.
Lovely idea, and so sorry for your loss. Could you find a word with his name within it? Verbena is the only one that comes to mind at the moment. Verbena Ink? The other thing I thought of was maybe a play on his name in the theme of the shop. Nota bene is 'note well' in Italian...could be Nota Ben or even just stay as Nota Bene. Bene generally means good, kind, etc...so it could work nicely...Bene Ink?
I hope you come up with a good idea...I think this is a great gesture. Joyful Ink is a lovely shop name, but I think honoring your husband is worth changing it over.
I hope you take this as I mean it, which is not harshly, but in the spirit of concern.
I very strongly recommend that you don't make any changes within the first year of your grief. Anything you do now will remind you, all the time and sometimes in not so nice ways, of this intense period of grieving. Especially if it's as permanent-ish as a business name.

I completely agree with this.
And I know you can't see it now - but you will one day be joyful again.
What about including a brief tribute to him in your shop description for the time being? Maybe not directly, but indirectly, by carefully chosen words that may remind you of him. Or include a few samples that remind you of fun times you had together. Tips of the hat to him and your time together without being super obvious. Then you can decide later if you want to change the business name. You certainly don't feel joyful right now, but you're still helping others during their joyful times, so it still fits.

Whether you change the name or not, I hope that reopening your shop is helpful for you.
I used to have a similar shop on etsy with printables and such, and had a lot of fun with it. I hope you're able to find some fun in this as you move forward.
