so, this weekend I'm going to a school auction with a Rock and Roll theme
It's for my daughter's (public, urban) school; I'm going, though, as the unofficial PTA photographer, which means I need a look that can weather more than dinner... I'll be moving around and have equipment to haul and all of it. But, yanno, I want to look cute.
So... for what I'm wearing... from the ground up... (links to pics)
I wear them around all the time... hell, I'm wearing them RIGHT NOW. It's more about how they look... I've never worn them with those particular boots
I'm thinking, with the moto boots they're going to give that 70's rocker vibe. Or, they're just going to make me look fat and dumpy and trying to get away with a rocker vibe. In which case, no bueno.

a little Kat inspired action...
...it needs some work. but I don't hate it, and it seems like something I can pull off. Foundation and blush and all was left over from this morning. This was just eyes and 'tattoos'. And lips.
I thought the liner was very different, eye-to-eye, but it's not, so I'd do the heavy black cat-eye on both. The lips need liner and a lighter color in the center (this is the Chanel, but I think I'll go with the matte Russian Red, instead, and put a shiny lighter bit in the middle)... I think the star tattoos look OK, not great, but I did them in like two minutes. I want to do the brows super dark, too.
Discovery... to make black liquid liner look more like actual tattoos, wait for them to dry, then powder + foundation over them. Walla. (eta: in really looking at the pics, I'm realizing I 'faded' them too much. Powder alone will probably be perfect.)
I can't figure out how to blend out these super bold colors (red, navy)... I don't know what to do to make the transition back to my skin color look OK. The shadows I'm using (Ulta brand for the red; NYX for the blue) are good but not fantastic.... Thoughts? Ideas?
