I'm looking for something more affordable then Sigma for eyes. I saw their eye brush bundle for $43 -- reviews? Rants/raves? I do a pretty basic look, nothing crazy bc I work in a conservative-ish environment and I'm a mom
I haven't seen many reviews of MUG brushes, but all the ones I've seen have been very positive. They don't get much buzz in the vlogosphere but I don't know if that's because they are not actually that good or because MUG doesn't send free sample to folks who do tutorials.
Morphe brushes are supposed to be excellent, and they are very low cost. I actually purchased some Coastal Scents brushes for an insanely low price because they were on sale, and the quality is just fine. I think Crown Brush is another low cost brand that is reputable.

I can't speak to the quality of MUG brushes I do know their eyeshadows are great. I second Morphe brushes. I just got a few in the mail that I love. The M441, M433, and M439(this is a face brush though) are my favorites right now.

I own a few as I was hoping to find a cheaper alternative to sigma as well. I bought the pencil brush, outer v brush, liner brush, soft dome brush, and angled stippling brush. The angled stippling brush is very soft. I bought it to blend my fuller coverage foundation and I like it better at that than the real techniques expert face brush. I don't use it much though because I like blending with my fingers. I don't like the outer v brush. It's to small and stiff to be useful for me. I actually don't care for the pencil brush either. I bought it because I was hoping it would be a good way of lining my lower lash line but it's too small and stiff as well. I prefer my Eco tools for that. I really like the liner brush. It's great and I enjoy my soft dome brush. I imagine it to be similar to the e40 but of course I wouldn't know. I would buy it again though so... If I bought any more I would get the pointed crease brush out of curiosity but that's it. Given all that though I've convinced myself to get the MAC 217 after watching everyone use it. It's expensive but so damn well regarded. Plus I feel like at this point I'm getting close to an equivalent amount of money trying dupes when they are just not the same.

Don't know about the others, but I really love Crown Brush and I definitely recommend them.
I really like the real techniques brushes. I started using their beauty blender sponge that a few bloggers were reviewing as better than the original, then started checking out the brushes because the reviews seemed good. The price is excellent and I really like them. I ordered online from target, but ulta and Amazon has them too.
