New lurker posting for first time, thanks to wine

Hi there...posting for the first time. I had only been lurking a few weeks so I wasn't ready to jump quite in yet, but the board change today plus starting my second glass of wine made me feel brave.

Anyway, I will be married a year next week, no kids yet, no pets yet, but H wants a dog in the worst way. We are listing our house next week (excited but also dreading) and once that sells and we get a place with a yard, the dog comes next. Or at least that's the plan.

Anyway, feel free to ask anything if you'd like. Thanks for letting me join in!

Jermys - after much research, we are planning on a rhodesian ridgeback. I've never had a dog before, so excited but nervous!

Chesire - yes actually H always says my face gives away my emotions immediately, and he can read me like a Dr. Seuss book, so he calls me sneetch. Corny, but true.

Jermys - would love that! It probably wouldn't be until fall (or spring if our house takes forever to sell). We live in eastern PA, if that helps.

Hi! I am drinking this bottle I found in the cabinet called Pillar Box Red. It's a mix of cab, shiraz and merlot. I am pleasantly surprised at how delicious it is.

I've been volunteering for like 8 years. My BFF has had three EBullies and she roped me into volunteering, and then I loved it.

Awww. My sig pic is my baby. She is a Rhodesian/English Bulldog. She is super "spirited" and yells at me when she doesn't get her way, but she is also the sweetest, lovey dog ever (she's my first dog since I was a kid, so I don't have any frame of reference)

Wow - my friends have an English bulldog and he is very sweet. At first, I was slightly intimidated by him because when I was visiting them and he was a puppy, he ran over, jumped on my lap and swatted the can of beer out of my hands so it dumped all over me. In hindsight, it was hysterical. He just took my by surprise, you know?

Gracie - I think beagles are ridiculously cute, but H had one growing up that was a terror, so no beagle for us. Travis sounds fun

Guys...I maybe need to stop drinking. I sent H a text that said "Can't wait for you to see you, sexy", or so I thought...I accidentally texted that to a guy from craigslist I have been texting about coming to pick up an old refrigerator we have in our garage.
