I was wandering the makeup aisles and a woman in a red Target vest approached me asking if I had any questions. Those of you who know anything about me know that at that moment, I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole because I do not like interacting with other human beings, especially ones who want to sell me stuff.
Anyway, this story has a happy ending. I received a goody bag of large shampoo and body wash samples, a full size Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, and coupon for $3 off a $15 makeup purchase. Then I discovered that Sonia Kashuk has cream eye shadows so I bought two of those and used my coupon.
Clearly today was my day. At the very least, I can no longer complain about my Target not having the concierge service.
Our Target has this, and I wouldn't take advice from her if she were the last makeup guru on earth.
She has dyed orangeish-reddish hair with about 1 inch or more of roots showing, and her hair is so dry, like straw. Then she wears this bright pink lipstick and her foundation is all cakey and gross.

Oh wow that's awesome! I wish I'd run into one so I could get a coupon for the Laneige bb cushion compact.
I grabbed the one at my local Target to ask about whether they had the Laneige cream in stock (none on the shelf), and all I got was a coupon for, I think, 50 cents off Dove body wash.
Sonia Kashuk! I have one of her brushes and I use it for blush. I need new brushes, can anyone recommend others of hers I might get or should I stay away?
I have the one crease brush - iI think it's the large crease brush? t's kinda a compact round dome kinda thing- and I really like it. I kinda want to get a second one to use to apply concealer because I tested it out for that and it's great. But I'm not cleaning my brush twice a day to make that work.
I've only worn the Diamonds shade, and only once at that. My initial reaction was meh because it was thin and appeared to go on rather patchy. It also looked like a damn sparkle bomb. However, as the day went on and I admired myself in the mirror as much as humanly possible (don't look at me that way, y'all know you do the same thing when wearing new or fabulous makeup!), the look really grew on me and I liked it quite a bit and decided it was lovely. It was fantastic in my inner 1/3.
It did not work by itself on my eye and wound up creasing, so I wouldn't recommend this as a substitute for primer. I will probably return it, not because I don't like the look but because it's incredibly similar to a thousand colors I already own, and after all I've spent, I really can't justify yet another highlighter color. However, I'm definitely going to keep this in mind for when I'm ready to restock a cream highlighter.
I also have another color, Quartz. I haven't tried that one yet, but it swatches coppery. I already own a copper Color Tattoo that I never use, so I suspect this one will go back simply because it's not a color that works for me.

I was looking for the Laneige compact this weekend at a Target that said it was in stock. I walked up and down the makeup aisle like 5 times looking for it. Nothing. I really could have used a person telling me where it was.
Follow up - I tried Quartz today after washing my face and although it scared me a bit when I first slapped it on my eye, it shears out to a really lovely wash of light, shimmery...pink, maybe?* It was very pretty without being loud. I didn't try building it up, so I have no idea if that's possible. Goodness knows I don't need another cream shadow, but I am darn tempted to keep it because it's yet another great single-color wash for an easy eye. Tomorrow I'll try it as a base coat and see how it does.

*Here, I found a swatch. Quartz is on the right.
I saw these today and am interested in Moonstone. I was on an Easter candy mission though and didn't stop.
ETA except now I'm seeing online that it swatches really dark, so maybe not.

Is the bb cushion worth $34? That seems steep for target
YES. Definitely. I tried lots of different BB cremes and this is by far my favorite. You get 2 refills and the compact for that price, so they're really only $17 each.

I tried a sample of this and fell in love. I haven't purchased it yet but am wondering how long it lasts you (daily?) before having to buy more.

With using it daily one cushion lasted me 2.5 months. I do use it with a foundation brush and not the sponge it comes with, so I'm not sure if that would make a significant difference.

Thanks! I was using the sample with a foundation brush as well. When I watched a video of a review the person used the sponge and I could tell it went on caked. She didn't like it but I think if she had used a brush it would have been better. I also used the foundation blending brush with it.
