I'm on season 5 ep 3. I'll probably finish it tonight. I don't want it to end!
And I can't believe Riggins is actually in jail!
It makes sense. Statistically one of the players would have ended up like that.
It ends perfectly. I didn't think it was possible for a show to do that, but they nailed it.
I know the most realistic outcome is for at least one of them to end up in jail. And OF COURSE Tim would sacrifice himself for Billy's new family. I just really thought they were going to get away with it. And I miss seeing him in every episode. Parenthood was probably the best finale I've ever watched, so I have high expectations for FNL.

FNL blows Parenthood's finale out of the water. And I'm saying that as a big fan of Parenthood.

I don't know, maybe my expectations were too high. I liked it, and I liked the way it ended, but parenthood was better. I would have enjoyed it if more of the old cast came back. And I'm not sure how I feel about Riggins and Tyra. Team Lyla!

But some of the cast hadn't been back in at least a season or more, so I considered their story lines already finished? And I think, ultimately, the Riggins and Tyra pairing is much more realistic for small town Texas life.
