Is someone doing this? What workouts do you have planned this week?
Monday: 30 minutes cardio and weights Tuesday: walk the dog and push the double stroller Wednesday: 30 minutes cardio and weights Thursday: walk dog and kids + zoo Friday: body flow and probably cardio Saturday: body flow
S: walk all over the Vegas strip M: walk all over the Vegas strip T: walk all over the Vegas strip W: fly home so nothing T: run and strength training F: walk all over the zoo S; run and strength training
M- walk with hubby T - 5 miles W - 9 miles TH - 5 miles F - Rest S - 18 miles
My hero!
In all seriousness though, I need running advice. I did my first 5k. I had been training for distance but did not think to train for the terrain. Damn thing started on a hill and had hills all over. I want to do another 5k in May, likely my last one before I ttc, so I'd like to do better. I was thinking I will keep running three days a week andndo incline intervals instead of speed intervals. Does that make sense?
I only do yoga so tuesday is a 90 minutes Astangha 1st series and Wens is 60 minutes of arm balance. I finally have the forearm balance down and I'm so excited.

So are you training running outside or primarily on the treadmill? Running outside is SO much different than running on a treadmill without the variants of weather, wind, hills, etc.
I would just train to run 3 miles, outside as often as possible. Good luck!
PS - I am far from a hero. I can guarantee that I will be a one time wonder in the marathon world. Training for one, though my girl friends and training partners are AWESOME (we do weekly long runs together), but it is exhausting!

I have a general idea of what I want to do within the week but kind of wing it day by day. For example I may want to go for a run but if I wake up super hungry & eat right away, I can't run. Or if a certain cardio machine isn't open at the gym, I need to be flexible. So far this week: Sunday: first rest day in about a week. Needed after i did A bazillion squats, lunges, etc on Saturday Monday: 7 miles on the Octane recumbent elliptical (including arm & leg press which are awesome.) Abs & arms & squats Today: 3 miles hill intervals on treadmill, 3 miles on bike. Abs, arms, & lunges. Will probably beat up the punching bag later Rest of week: need to get in some 3+ mile runs including a trail run. Definitely a bike ride this weekend, either downtown or to the beach.
